Beach Body Challenge with Annie McDonnell – A Year of Transformation

FOUND MY RHYTHM TO BETTER HEALTH & WEIGHT LOSS

post workout 9 16 15I lost 6 pounds this week.  I feel much healthier and happier.  I am on my way to being the woman I really want to be.  It is crazy how such a small number can change so many things.  I am already seeing the benefits of this weight loss.  I move easier, sleep better, and feel more alive.  My mood is more positive.

I have to lose 90 Pounds.  NO JOKE.  But, my initial weight loss goal is 10 pounds. I want 9 reasons to celebrate along the way.  HA!

I began my personal health journey on September 7th, 2015, when I signed up for a “Fall into Fitness” Beach Body Challenge, with Christine Olson as my Beach Body Coach.  She has been wonderfully patient with me, as I have been starting and stopping programs since May, 2015.

Having several chronic illnesses, and just one day of feeling bad can really make me just want to give up all together.  Let alone a full on RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) Flare; that would linger for days, or even weeks.  Sometimes just facing the day ahead was difficult. Giving up always seemed easier. That is no longer an option!

Not anymore!  I found my Rhythm!!  I am doing this!!  I am gung-ho right now, and hoping that my fervor remains.  Obviously, when you need to lose as much weight as I do…you cannot just go on a diet, you need to change your lifestyle.  I am accomplishing this one day at a time, with the help of my Coach, and the other inspiring woman in my Challenge Group.  Christine better get used to seeing me in her groups, because I will need to be around for a while.

My Coach Christine suggested I read the book PUSH by Chalene Johnson to really get me inspired and moving and grooving on all levels.  I am even making the time for my Inner Zen, both morning and evening!

I will not give up this time!  My body is changing and feeling better…I don’t want to lose this feeling!  My life is already becoming more positive, and it is about time that I let this flow.  I am learning wonderful new habits.  As my Coach said to me today, ” It’s about Progress not Perfection — focus on that every day and it will get you every day closer to your goal!”

CIZE the end of exercise

My Rhythm.CIZE. The End of Exercise”.  This is just what I needed!  I placed the order for this Beachbody Program the moment it was released.  I was counting down the days to place the order!  I had a good feeling about this, because I would be dancing, and I love to dance.  Shaun T. Choreographs dances to one song per week for four weeks, total…and, he breaks them down one step at a time, until you are totally rocking the routine to Bruno Mars. (Or, whatever the song of the week is)  Last week, I had the routine down in just two days.  This week, I am hoping to have it down by day 3-4.  I am just happy to be dancing. As, Shaun T. Says, “You will be smiling the whole time”, and he is right!

In the end, I feel like J. Lo when she was a Fly Girl.  That is the Reward!

Join me next week, when I will discuss my diet changes and talk more about the book PUSH. And, hopefully announce more weight loss, and tell you that I was able to learn this Bruno Mars routine.

Go, Annie, go! I am rooting for you BIG TIME. I, too, struggle with this, as you know, and I’m hoping watching you will inspire me to tackle the exercise, as well as the food. Hooray for health!

Oh, I’ll be following along and rooting you on – and me, too. One binge day brought back 5 pounds after my Whole 30 adventure, so yup, I’ve got lots more work to do, as well.
