I recently picked up a few new lip products, from Neutrogena and Revlon. They look nearly identical, and I grabbed one from each line to see if I liked one better. Unfortunately, I actually ended up not loving either! Serious bummer. Read on for my reviews!
From Neutrogena I got the ColorSmooth Moisture Stick in the fresh papaya color. While I liked the color, I didn’t like the application or how it felt on my lips. I’ve never really had the feeling of…feeling like there was something sitting on my lips, if that makes any sense. Usually I just put lipstick on and forget about it, but it was like this product was heavy. It was crazy bizarre. And it came off on anything and everything – quickly.
Then it gets even wilder. From Revlon I got the ColorBurst Matte Balm, and had an eerily similar experience. I got the nude color, and it felt nearly identical to what the Moisture Stick felt like, and it came off on everything. I was leaving lipstick marks all over the place with these two lipsticks.
I was totally bummed after that shopping trip! Two no-go’s at once…darn it! But, I did get some newer lip products recently that I love, and I’ll be sure to write those reviews for you!
