#BookReview: Christmas Ever After by Sarah Morgan

Christmas Ever AfterReviewer: Annie

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Summary:

Skylar Tempest has never understood Alec Hunter’s appeal. So what if he’s a world-renowned historian? He’s also cynical, aloof and determined to think the worst of her. So when a twist of fate finds her spending the lead-up to Christmas with Alec and his family, she’s not expecting the season to be either merry or bright.

Alec has learned the hard way not to trust beautiful women—and Skylar is the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen. But as he watches her throw herself into his family’s festive chaos, Alec realises there is far more to this blonde bombshell than meets the eye.

With Christmas around the corner, Alec and Skylar return to Puffin Island, a tentative bond forged between them. Neither intends to fall in love but as the nights become darker, and the fire between them grows hotter, could this be the chance for Alec and Skylar to find their own happy ending?

Review:

Sarah Morgan wrote a very charming Christmas story. Now, I want to go to Puffin Island and back to London after reading this book. She really brought these places to life for me. I just found out that this is book 3 in the Puffin Island Series, so I need to go back to read the other two.

Friendship and love are the most important things in life, and that glows between the pages of this book. Sarah Morgan delivers characters that will grab your heart and never let go. Dare I say, this should be a movie.

Skylar (Sky) Tempest is a woman that knows what she wants, and she will not settle for less. She was such a wonderful character, full of love, dreams and hope. She saw what really mattered in life.

Sky is an artist, and she dabbles in a few things from pottery to jewelry making. She is having an exhibition in London of her pieces, and she is thrilled because her boyfriend Richard Everson was coming to the event. Only he was not there to support her. Sky’s eyes open up to see that she is really just a pawn in his political game.

Within her circle of friends there is a man named Alec Hunter. He is a Maritime Historian and often on television, and was known for “making history sexy”. Only he and Skylar were not fans of each other. Could they grow to like one another?

This book was such a joy to read. If you want a Christmas book, this is a great one!! And, the cover is magnificent!
