GIVEAWAY: Lucky Girl by Cate Lord

Jessica Devlin isn’t looking for love. Heartbroken after being dumped by her unfaithful ex-fiancé, she’s determined to have a fabulous time during her vacation in England where she’ll be maid-of-honor at her cousin’s wedding. After working overtime as beauty editor of Orlando s O Tart magazine, avoiding dating, and putting on ten pounds, Jess is ready to toss her past like an empty lipstick tube and party like a single gal.

But when she steps into the church on her cousin s wedding day, she sees the one man who could sabotage her plan James-Bond-gorgeous Nick Mondinello. She’s never forgotten the London marketing exec who held her in his arms after her beloved grandfather s funeral two years ago. Ambitious, and lusted after by women everywhere, Nick is completely wrong for guarded, Plain Jane Jess.

Could Spy Man Nick ever fall for her? Nope. Not unless Jess is one lucky girl.

I have one print copy of Lucky Girl by Cate Lord up for grabs! To enter, please leave a comment below telling one of your luckiest- or unluckiest- stories. This is only a twenty-four hour contest, and the winner will be chosen at five pm CST on Wednesday, September 14th. Please note this is for US/Canada residents only. Over the last year and a half I have been pretty lucky. I have won over 50 books and 10 ebooks. It is so many that I lost count and ran out of room in my book case. lol

I love to enter, even though I hardly win books 🙁 Harder than the lottery system it seems, BUT just recently I did win a HP touchpad so I guess I can’t say I never win.

I hope I’m lucky enough to win this book – I’ve been wanting to read it!

I’m not very luck about winning things – but I did win a march madness pool and considering my lack of knowledge in that area – it was pure luck!!!

    Thanks for the opportunity!

I have not been very lucky when it comes to winning things. I’ve entered many giveaways and won two books within the last fews years, but am still very happy to have won those. Thanks for the chance to win!

This book sounds like so much fun!
OK….this probably isn’t my luckiest moment but it was one of the first things I thought of…cue story time!
It was the second semester of my second year of university (ie my roommates and I were starting to feel the pinch) and I was walking home after losing an intramural basketball game (we were all done! sob!). It was late, dark, kind of chilly, and the house we lived in was a 20 minute walk from the school. I’m feeling kinda bummed and am just about home when I look down at the sidewalk…and found a $10 bill! That definitely perked me up. And, of course, used it for something totally useful…discounted Easter chocolate which I shared with my roomies 🙂

Talk about being lucky and unlucky at the same time. In high school I was lucky enough to be part of a team who went from Atlanta to NYC to participate in the International Model United Nations. We had opening and closing sessions inside the actual UN and it was amazing. We also stayed on the Avenue of the Americas in an amazing hotel. I wore tight pleather pants to the closing ceremony. The seats were leather and not very comfortable so I kept squirming. I felt like hot stuff, because I looked good, and it wasn’t until we were walking out, that someone in our delegation pointed out that my pants had split down the middle! Talk about unlucky! Thankfully someone graciously offered me their sports coat and my modesty was preserved! But boy did I come crashing back down to Earth after that! :p

Can’t wait to read this book. I’ve seen some real good reviews for it so hopefully I’ll be lucky enough to win a copy! Luckiest thing for me getting fired from one job starting another a week later and meeting my boyfriend of 4+ years as a result:)

I had a terrible pregnancy, sick from daylight to dark for 8 months. But thankfully my labor was a breeze. And she was perfectly healthy, even though she was 5 weeks early and weighed 4 lb 12 oz.

A few months ago, I was really looking forward to seeing Josh Groban in concert but couldn’t go because I didn’t have enough money. The day before, I was just about to cry (lol I LOVE Josh) when I checked twitter for some random reason before going to sleep. The radio station just happened to announce a contest on twitter for two tickets to the concert which was wierd because they had previously said they wouldn’t have any contest for it. I replied to them within seconds and won the tickets. I was SO incredibly happy, it was amazing!

Hmmm….unlucky or luckiest moments? Luckiest=the births of my sons. Unluckiest moment=hitting a mailbox with my mothers car.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

One of my luckiest moments was when a friend of mine bumped into an old high school boyfriend of mine. Had that not happened we would probably not have chatted about him, had a debate on where he lived back in the day, I would not have written him a letter telling him about it………we got married four years ago….

Wow! Lots of lucky girls here! 🙂 What fun stories.
