Blog Tours
Blog tours are becoming increasingly popular as an online presence is demanded. More and more authors are turning to social media to promote their books, and book bloggers are gladly stepping up. By going on a virtual tour, authors are getting publicity for their books, providing interviews and guest posts, all while never having to leave their state, city, or even their house! Book bloggers are getting the opportunity to read great books, give their opinions, and feature more and more authors on their blogs.
As a book blogger, I have worked with numerous authors, publishers, and publicists. I know what works and what doesn’t for tours. I’ve had authors ask me to host them within one week, which never works. Bloggers need advance notice. I’ve had publicists assume I will host their clients without receiving a book to review. I’ve had publishers ask me to review children’s books, who obviously ignore the genre of books I review. For my blog tours, I have a carefully researched database filled with a variety of different book bloggers. No time is wasted by contacting numerous bloggers who will turn down or simply ignore a request because their review policy was not taken into consideration.
For my blog tours, I offer 2-4 weeks for the tour, with stops at ten different blogs, possibly more. Authors will be responsible for sending the books to the bloggers, and for providing interviews and guest posts. I will do all the initial contact between authors and bloggers, and provide the calendar of events. Once a tour is complete, authors will have the chance to have an interactive conversation with other readers hosted by me for no extra charge. I also recently started a spin off blog, CLP Blog Tours, focused solely on tours. All authors who coordinate their tours through me will get their own page with list of tour stops, and links to all reviews, interviews, and guest posts that bloggers post.
I work with authors that are traditionally published and self published. I accept tours for new books, or older books that you want to get more publicity for. I do have the right to turn down a tour request. The main genres I focus on are chick lit, romance, women’s fiction, YA, and mystery/suspense. I will also do fantasy and paranormal, along with historical fiction. Please fill out the form below with your name, email, title of the book you would like to tour with, and the genre of that book.
