Blog Tours
Blog tours are becoming increasingly popular as an online presence is demanded. More and more authors are turning to social media to promote their books, and book bloggers are gladly stepping up. By going on a virtual tour, authors are getting publicity for their books, providing interviews and guest posts, all while never having to leave their state, city, or even their house! Book bloggers are getting the opportunity to read great books, give their opinions, and feature more and more authors on their blogs.
I work with authors that are traditionally published and self published. I accept tours for new books, or older books that you want to get more publicity for. I do have the right to turn down a tour request. The main genres I focus on are chick lit, romance, women’s fiction, YA, and mystery/suspense. I will also do fantasy and paranormal, along with historical fiction. Please fill out the form below with your name, email, title of the book you would like to tour with, and the genre of that book. I will respond to all requests within 48 hours.
Blog Tour Information:
A blog tour (or virtual tour) is basically having your book reviewed and/or you and the book featured on a series of websites throughout a specific time frame. What I do is contact book bloggers and pitch the book you want to tour with, and gain their interest in hosting you. I have a database filled with bloggers, what genres they take, if they are taking new requests, etc, so you don’t have to spend the time finding bloggers and contacting them yourself. I have been blogging for over three years, coordinating these tours for over two, and have a relationship with all the bloggers on my lists, so they know me and are comfortable with my work. With my tours, I guarantee you will be booked for 7 blogs, with a mixture of reviews, guest posts, interviews, excerpts, and giveaways. You will be responsible for sending the books out to the bloggers – these can be print books or eBooks and the most popular formats are PDF, mobi (Kindle) or ePub – they will read and post their reviews on a pre-scheduled day. Bloggers that participate in CLP Blog Tours are encouraged to also post reviews on sites such as Amazon and GoodReads, but please note this is not a requirement.
Bloggers are able to sign up for a review, guest post, interview or book excerpt for a tour. If you would not like any of these included, please let me know before your sign up post is running, and they can be excluded. Authors are responsible for answering interview questions, writing unique guest posts (topics are supplied) and providing book excerpts for those requesting these extras.
Please note: you must have a synopsis and cover art image for me to run on a sign-up post. Also, it is advised you have a release date already scheduled and books ready to hand out to bloggers at least two months before you tour begins.
Once I have all the bloggers in place, I set up a calendar for you with the dates and blogs you will be featured on throughout your tour. Tours generally run for a two week period, though this can vary depending on your package. I keep in touch with bloggers making sure they received the books you sent, send reminders to them when their dates are approaching, and help spread the word through social media and with my own newsletters.
On CLP Blog Tours you will get your own tour page, which will list your tour date and stops, and once you go on tour and bloggers start posting their reviews, I will link them to your tour page. I also post about the reviews on Chick Lit Plus, and have your book be the featured book at times leading up and during your tour. I also will provide a tour button that bloggers can grab and put on their site to help promote the tour as well. Tour buttons are included in all packages.
