Alicia Keys Welcomes Son

Alicia Keys is a mom! The singer and her husband, Swizz “Kaseem Dean” Beatz, welcomed son Egypt Daoud Dean on the 14^th in New York City, a rep for the couple told People.com. This is the first child for the couple. Beatz has three children from a previous marriage. Keys, 29, and Beatz, 32, married in July.

Alicia Keys Engaged- and Expecting!

Congratulations are in order for Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz. Not only are the couple now engaged- they are expecting a child! The couple, who have been together since the fall of 2008, plan to tie the knot at the end of the year in a private ceremony, according to People.com. This will be the first child for the couple and Alicia, and the third for rapper Swizz Beatz. He has two children, Kasseem Jr., 3, and son Prince Nasir, 9, both from previous relationships.

Rihanna to Perform at AMA’s

Rihanna has yet another item to add to her busy schedule- performing at this year’s American Music Awards. The singer, 21, will take the stage November 22^nd on ABC, People.com is reporting. Rihanna has performed at the event in both 2007 and 2008, and has also won 3 AMA’s for her work.

Other singers set to perform include: Kelly Clarkson, The Black Eyed Peas, Adam Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, and Jennifer Lopez.

Alicia Keys to Debut Jewelry Line

Alicia Keys: multi-platinum Grammy winner and now jewelry designer. The singer, 29, is going to be unveiling her new jewelry collection for two days at The Barber’s Daughters Jewelry Experience event in New York City on November 23rd and 24^th.

The pieces feature hand-crafted items with messages of inspiration inscribed on them, and are codesigned by Gisele Theriault. Theriault and Keys plan to launch the full collection in 2010.

Key’s next album, The Element of Freedom,  will release next month.
