Beyonce Welcomes Baby Girl

Finally! After rumors and speculation that Beyonce had given birth, it has finally been confirmed that her baby was born on Saturday in New York. Her hometown paper, the Houston Chronicle, announced the new. According to People.com, sources have confirmed the baby girl’s name is Blue Ivy Carter.  Beyonce’s little sister, Solange Knowles, tweeted Sunday morning about the news: “The most beautiful girl in the world.” Good Morning America reported the baby was born via C-section.

The middle name of Ivy has been cleared up by GMA. The number 4 or “IV” is special to Beyonce, 30 and husband Jay-Z (Shawn Carter), 42, because their birthdays are September 4 and December 4 respectively, they were married on April 4, 2008, and Beyonce’s latest album is even titled 4.

This is the first child for Beyonce and husband Jay-Z.

Beyonce is Pregnant!

Well, this news just excites me- Beyonce is pregnant! The dynamite pop diva, 29, showed off her baby bump at the MTV Video Music awards, teasingly saying, “I have a surprise!” This will be the first child for Beyonce and husband Jay-Z , 41, who have been married for three years. No word was given on a due date. What do you think about this breaking baby news?

Tina Knowles Files for Divorce

tina knowlesBeyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles, is about to be a single lady. Knowles, 55, has filed for a divorce from Matthew Knowles after 29 years of marriage. Usmagazine reported that Knowles submitted divorce papers in November, just a month after a pregnant woman by the name of Alexsandra Wright filed a paternity suit against Matthew. The couple has two children- Beyonce and younger sister Solange.

Beyonce Releasing First Fragrance

beyonceWant to smell like Beyonce? Well now you can. The mutli-talented celebrity is releasing her first fragrance, Beyonce Heat, to hit stores in February. How did she come up with the name? Her work. She says, “A lot of my performances have had fire involved, so we thought ‘Heat.’ Also, red is one of my favorite colors, as is gold.” She expresses how proud she is of her newest project and how hands on she was in the decision making processes. “Everything, from the bottle design to the name and the ideas for the commercials–that’s me. When I commit to something, I do it 100 percent.” People.com reports the fragrance has top notes of red vanilla orchid, magnolia, neroli and blush peach, will include eaux de parfum in three sizes, as well as a sparkling body lotion, priced between $39-$59.

Swift, Jackson, Win Big at AMA’s

amasIt shouldn’t have come as a big surprise, but Michael Jackson and Taylor Swift were the night’s big winners at the AMA Awards. Swift had previously swept the Country Music Awards- beating out the big boys for Entertainer of the Year. Last night, the 19 year old singer won Favorite Artist of the Year- beating out the King of Pop for the honor. Swift was not in attendance, as she was in London, but accepted her awards via satellite. When she for Favorite Artist of the Year, Swift was clearly in shock and speechless before saying, “To even be mentioned in a category with Michael Jackson … is an unimaginable honor. I’m sending my love to the Jackson family.”

Michael Jackson won 4 awards, making his AMA total at 23 awards. The late singer won for Favorite Soul/R&B Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Male Vocalist and Favorite Pop/Rock Album and Favorite Soul/R&B Album, both for Number Ones. His brother Jermaine accepted his award on Jackson’s behalf.
