Making the Deans List Final CoverAbout the Book

In an ideal world the right man comes along, you fall madly in love, and live happily ever after. But real life isn’t quite so simple and timing is everything!

And having to choose between two charismatic, sexy, and compassionate men isn’t easy…the fact that they are father and son puts a new degree of complications into the mix. How do you decide between the boy you’re currently dating and the man you know you could spend the rest of your life with…if you’d only met him first?

Welcome to Alex’s world. Balancing a full time career as a college student and being a full time single parent is all she believed she would have to contend with when she decided to go back to school. But she began a little tryst with a fellow student that turned into so much more. And then she met his father…

Sexual escapades, student teaching, homework, her children’s activities, the annoying ex-husband, and friends who wish they could switch places with her keep Alex’s life interesting. But the problem with seeing two men is that eventually the truth comes out. Will she follow her heart or will she forego her own desires and play it safe?

#NewRelease: Swings by Corbin Lewars

CLP would like to congratulate Corbin Lewars on the release of her contemporary women’s fiction novel Swings!

Swings CoverAbout the Book

After attending three new mom groups, only to be banned for eating Cheetos (not organic!) and uttering the occasional swear word, Sadie Walker questions why she is trying so hard to fit in. While sitting in another dingy community center playroom full of squealing babies and new moms enthusiastically discussing homemade organic baby food, Sadie meets John, a handsome, vivacious dad. They quickly form a friendship and Sadie finally finds an adult outlet. John soon becomes a lifeline and she looks to him for advice and support, and confides in him about her strained marriage and career as a copywriter. Sadie begins to have sexual fantasies about John. Those fantasies turn into opportunity when he tells her he’s in an open marriage. As Sadie contemplates how far is too far in regards to her friendship with John, she must also question herself, her marriage, and her life. Will swinging with John improve that life, or destroy it?

Praise for Swings:

If you are a mother who has felt the ridiculous pressure to be a perfect parent in the politically correct ‘burbs, you’ll appreciate this humorous, realistic stab at the mommy-war culture in which there are no winners. “Swings” is the thinking woman’s response to “Fifty Shades” of choices (I won’t divulge what Sadie decides!). A fun read about a hot stud crashing the estrogen party and pushing the boundaries, and one woman’s discovery of what romance and partnerships really mean when the loaded diaper hits the fan—when maybe what we thought we wanted is what we had all along.

Rock Stars GirlAbout the Book

Emily Watts just wants a weekend break from the workaholic hours she’s taken on to keep her business—a popular fashion-snark website—up and running. What she gets is overnight celebrity and a career-killing media scandal.

While taking time out to attend a concert in support of friend Jesse Cinder, a struggling musician, Emily meets Cory Sampson, the lead singer of a chart-topping rock band. When she agrees to a date with Cory, making entertainment headlines is the last thing she expects. Even so, it’s a minor surprise by comparison to her discovery that in the music world, media notoriety trumps all. Tabloid allegations erupt when Cory and fame-hungry Jesse use Emily for personal gain, and her tarnished image spells disaster—personally and professionally. To save the website and writing career she’s made her life and dream, Emily must go from being a pawn in the Hollywood headline game to becoming the media mastermind.
