Bios: NATALIE AARON was born in Kansas, moved to L.A. and based solely on her astrological sign, was hired as a PA on commercials and music videos – only confirming what she’d heard about L.A. was true. Natalie went on to such critically acclaimed shows as Taxicab Confessions, Behind the Music and Movies That Shook the World, where she learned how to coax interviews from reluctant celebrities. Her recent producing credits include The Judds, Ruby, Sweet Home Alabama and Little People, Big World. Natalie lives in L.A. and hardly ever wonders how she wound up doing this for a living.
MARLA SCHWARTZ was born in L.A. but moved to England to pursue a graduate degree in Medieval Studies. After working as Head Researcher for both Dreamworks Animation and writer/director Andrew Niccol, she began working as a television producer. Marla’s producing credits include Blind Date, Starting Over, Making the Band, Bad Girls Club, Dane Cook’s Tourgasm, and Wanted: Ted or Alive, an assignment that required her to screen footage of a deer being shot, gutted, and cooked. Marla lives in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter and hardly ever wonders how she wound up doing this for a living.

Daniella Brodsky is on tour with CLP Blog Tours and her re-launch of Princess of Park Avenue. This story follows Brooklyn girl Lorraine Machuchi and her climb to be somebody. As opportunities seem to just fall in her lap, Lorraine suddenly finds herself in Manhattan, staying for free in a posh apartment, coloring hair for the elite, and buying designer clothes. But can you ever really take the Brooklyn out of the girl? The biggest downfall letting Lorraine truly embrace her new life is Tommy. Tommy, the guy that Lorraine can just not get over. Tommy, the guy who can reel Lorraine back in with just a glimpse of his unbuttoned shirt. Can Lorraine really be a Park Avenue Princess if she keeps letting Tommy sneak back into her life?
I kept going back and forth with this story. I loved the idea behind Lorraine and taking a sort of Jenny from the Block type and turning her into a successful woman trolling Park Avenue. Watching Lorraine grow and find her confidence was a lot of fun for me. I also really enjoyed the twists with the Park Avenue Princesses and their devious plans, and the beginning of the chapters was excellent foreshadowing. Some of the characters reminded me of the Jersey Shore cast, but those scenes definitely cracked me up rather than made me want to wash my mouth out like with the TV show. My downfalls came with how long it took Lorraine to break free of Tommy. I was worried right up until the last chapters that she would never figure it out. My other downfall was that the book seemed very long. There were quite a few scenes that could have been snipped to let the story read a bit quicker. Overall though, a fun chick lit story that I’m sure many readers will be able to identify with.

Vanessa wants just one thing for her twenty-ninth birthday: an engagement ring from her longtime boyfriend, Eric. But when the ring turns out to be a mix CD and Eric turns out to be a guy who doesn’t want to get married or have children, Vanessa considers a new path to having a family.
When Wendy and her husband, Darren, couldn’t have children the old- fashioned way, a sperm donor seemed like the perfect solution. She never imagined she’d have out-of-control twins who’d drive her to cookie binges and scrapbooking while Darren escaped into the virtual world of computer games.
Single and career-driven, Laura didn’t need a man to have a baby – at least not one that she ever met. Thanks to an anonymous donor, she shares her life with her adored eight-year-old son, Ian. She’ll do anything for Ian – even fill their backyard with a bunch of noisy chickens. But the one thing Ian really wants is something Laura’s never been able to give him: a sibling.
Now, to grant Ian’s wish, Laura starts a search that will not only change her life but Vanessa’s and Wendy’s as well…

For Willow Watts, life has settled into a predictably dull routine: days behind the counter at her father’s antique shop and nights watching TV, as the pension-aged residents of Britain’s Ugliest Village bed down for yet another early night. But everything changes when a YouTube video of Willow’s epically embarrassing Marilyn Monroe impersonation gets millions of hits after a viewer spots Marilyn’s ghostly image in a frame.
Instantly, Willow’s town is overrun with fans flocking to see the ‘new Marilyn’. Egged on by the villagers — whose shops and businesses are cashing in — Willow embraces her new identity, dying her hair platinum and ramming herself full of cakes to achieve Marilyn’s legendary curves.
But when a former flame returns seeking the old Willow, Willow must decide: can she risk her stardom and her village’s newfound fortune on love, or is being Marilyn her ticket to happiness?

Honor Sontag has always done the right thing. Plays by the rules, is fair, does what is expected of her. But when she is pushed too far, she flees her home in Connecticut and heads to England in search of her birth mother, and some much needed clarity. While there, she befriends her landlord’s family, especially the only male among the bunch, Martyn Mayfair. While sparks fly between Honor and Martyn, both hold back for different reasons. Martyn has been hurt in the past before, and Honor, well she is still legally married. Their romance is thrown other hurdles- Martyn’s stalker that happens to be Honor’s new boss, Martyn’s career as a hottie underwear model, and Honor’s secrets that she is keeping hidden from Martyn. Can Honor finally find her love and freedom in England? Or will always doing the right thing keep her from Martyn and a chance at true happiness?
Love and Freedom is a really sweet romance from Sue Moorcroft. I had a lot of fun reading the British terms and getting to know both Honor and Martyn. Honor is the perfect heroine- a good person with a big heart but riddled with flaws and confusion, not sure which way to turn. I thought the beginning was just a touch too slow, and I was a little hesitant about where the story would lead me. But after just a few chapters I was hooked, and there are some stunning bombshells that are dropped along the way that made my mouth drop open. This was a great romance with a lot of drama built in, and I think chick lit readers will appreciate the plot and the characters that are along for the ride.
