Beauty Review: got2b Powder’ful Volumizing Styling Powder

I have very fine, thin hair, and am always looking to get an extra oomph. Unfortunately, I am also crazy bad at doing anything with my hair (besides rocking a ponytail!) and I have yet to master that little poof in the back. No, not Snooki-style, but just an added oomph of fullness. A girlfriend (and wizard when it comes to styling hair) accepted the challenge of giving my hair volume one night, and she brought along a little magical friend – got2b Powder’ful Volumizing Styling Powder. She sprinkled a bit by my scalp and voila! The poof was found and stayed all night. I was so excited I went out and bought me some the very next day. It’s easy to use, just a little sprinkle here and there, and adds instant fullness to my hair. I don’t always tease my hair when I use it, sometimes I just fluff it a bit with my fingers and get a good result. The only thing that I don’t like is it makes my hair feel almost tacky – I can definitely tell where the powder is and like to get it washed out right away the next day. But other than that little downside, I really like this product and recommend if you are looking for volumizing help!

Big, Beautiful Hair

Another hot style for this holiday season? Big, beautiful hair! But what is the secret to getting your hair to curl properly and stay put during the parties? The first weapon is having the proper tool. Usmagazine recommends the T3 EverTwirl Curling Iron, which uses the same technology as a flatiron to increase curl longevity. To begin, while your hair is wet make a side part, and apply a volumizing mousse. Then begin blow drying your hair, brushing through the strands with a round brush to help get hair smooth and shiny. Once hair is dry, wrap small sections around the barrel of the curling iron. Pin each curl up and let sit for 10 minutes. Spray with hairspray and unpin. To get a more natural look, run your fingers through the curls.
