Top Earning Couples in Hollywood

Who’s the most powerful couple in all of Hollywood? If you guessed hip hop duo Beyonce and Jay-Z, you are correct! Forbes has released their list of top earning celebrity couples, with Beyonce and Jay-Z coming out on top with combined earnings of $122 million between June 2008 and June 2009. (Last year, they topped the list as well, raking in $162 million.) Usmagazine.com reports that Forbes accounts for celebrity’s record sales, movie salaries, touring, merchandising ,and endorsement deals. See where your favorite celebrity couples make the list:

Swift, Jackson, Win Big at AMA’s

It shouldn’t have come as a big surprise, but Michael Jackson and Taylor Swift were the night’s big winners at the AMA Awards. Swift had previously swept the Country Music Awards- beating out the big boys for Entertainer of the Year. Last night, the 19 year old singer won Favorite Artist of the Year- beating out the King of Pop for the honor. Swift was not in attendance, as she was in London, but accepted her awards via satellite. When she for Favorite Artist of the Year, Swift was clearly in shock and speechless before saying, “To even be mentioned in a category with Michael Jackson … is an unimaginable honor. I’m sending my love to the Jackson family.”
Michael Jackson won 4 awards, making his AMA total at 23 awards. The late singer won for Favorite Soul/R&B Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Male Vocalist and Favorite Pop/Rock Album and Favorite Soul/R&B Album, both for Number Ones. His brother Jermaine accepted his award on Jackson’s behalf.

Rihanna to Perform at AMA’s

Rihanna has yet another item to add to her busy schedule- performing at this year’s American Music Awards. The singer, 21, will take the stage November 22nd on ABC, People.com is reporting. Rihanna has performed at the event in both 2007 and 2008, and has also won 3 AMA’s for her work.
Other singers set to perform include: Kelly Clarkson, The Black Eyed Peas, Adam Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, and Jennifer Lopez.
