Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony Split

Anyone else surprised by this news? After seven years of what seemed to be a happy marriage, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have decided to end their marriage. People.com broke the news, which included a joint statement from the musical couple, “We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved, and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.” Lopez, 41, and Anthony, 42, were married in 2004 in Beverly Hills. They have two children together- 3-year-old twins Max and Emme.

Barbara Walters Names Most Fascinating People

It’s time for Barbara Walters to reveal her top 10 Most Fascinating People of the year, and again, I don’t agree. Walters announced eight of the ten names, leaving the other two to be announced when the special airs on December 9^th at 10 pm. The eight names are: Kate Middleton, Sandra Bullock, Justin Bieber, Betty White, LeBron James, Sarah Palin, Jennifer Lopez, and the cast of the Jersey Shore.

The Jersey Shore? Really? What’s fascinating about people that go on a TV show and get wasted and take turns hooking up with each other? Sarah Palin- again? What has changed for last year when she was featured? Her daughter did Dancing With the Stars? Put Bristol on then if you have to. Jennifer Lopez? So she’s hosting American Idol­- big deal! What else is fascinating about her?

Any guess on who the two other names are? Maybe Lady Gaga? One of the Obama’s? A Kardashian? Who do you think will be the Most Fascinating person out of the bunch?

Movie Review: The Back-Up Plan

A few months ago I watched The Back-up Plan starring Jennifer Lopez and have been itching to write a review for it since. I had seen a few previews for the movie and thought it looked like it could squeeze a few laughs out of me, so when I saw it for $1 in the Redbox, I thought I’d take a chance. Bad decision. The acting was terrible, both on the part of Jennifer Lopez and Alex O’Louglin, who plays opposite of JLO onscreen. The writing was overly cliché, and mixed with terrible acting, it was a recipe for disaster. I knew every line that was going to come out of the actor’s mouth and could easily predict how each scene would go. Just one example- Lopez is driving out to visit O’Loughlin and sees him shirtless and so sexy. She proceeds to stare at him with her mouth wide open then crashes her car into a tree. Boring. Or another- Lopez and O’Loughlin are on their first date and when they go in for this kiss, she knocks over a bottle of wine, spilling it on him and tries to clean it up but lights a napkin on fire and while trying to find a hose falls all over the place (when she is falling over absolutely nothing) and then soaks both herself and him. More boring. With both terrible writing and terrible acting, this movie was a major disappointment.  Don’t waste your time, or your dollar!

Jennifer Lopez to Guest Star on How I Met Your Mother

People.com has reported that Jennifer Lopez will be guest starring on the CBS comedy How I Met Your Mother in a March episode. Executive producer and co-creator of the series Carter Bays says, “We’re looking forward to a week of revealing outfits and sexy dance moves the likes of which this show hasn’t seen since Regis Philbin guest starred.” The press release states that Lopez will be playing Anita Appleby, an outspoken self-help guru who makes it her mission to break caddish Barney (played by Neil Patrick Harris) of his womanizing ways.

Lopez has also been rumored to guest star in another hit comedy, Glee. That appearance has not yet been confirmed.

Jennifer Lopez Suing Ex-Husband

Jennifer Lopez is suing ex-husband, Ojani Noa for $10 million. Usmagazine reports that Noa is trying to produce a film titled How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The JLo and Ojani Noa Story. The film reportedly includes home videos of the couple’s time together. 

Lopez,40, is suing Noa and also Ed Meyer in trying to produce and distribute the film. The singer is claiming this film would go against an agreement that was settled upon when the couple divorced. (They were married in 1997 and divorced less than a year later. Lopez in now married to singer Marc Anthony.) Ed Meyer is claiming to have footage that shows Lopez in “revealing lack of clothing and in sexual situations, especially in the hotel room footage from [their] honeymoon.”

Rihanna to Perform at AMA’s

Rihanna has yet another item to add to her busy schedule- performing at this year’s American Music Awards. The singer, 21, will take the stage November 22^nd on ABC, People.com is reporting. Rihanna has performed at the event in both 2007 and 2008, and has also won 3 AMA’s for her work.

Other singers set to perform include: Kelly Clarkson, The Black Eyed Peas, Adam Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, and Jennifer Lopez.
