Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Welcome Baby Girl

Well this is shocking! Just one day after attending the Golden Globe’s, the Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman announced they have welcomed a new baby girl! No, Nicole was not hiding the most magnificent baby bump of all time, Faith Margaret Kidman Urban, was born via a surrogate on December 28th. Usmagazine.com reported the news, and said that daughter is Urban and Kidman’s biological daughter. The couple, who have been married since 2006 and have two year old daughter Sunday Rose, said in a statement, “Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret. No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier.”

Swift, Jackson, Win Big at AMA’s

It shouldn’t have come as a big surprise, but Michael Jackson and Taylor Swift were the night’s big winners at the AMA Awards. Swift had previously swept the Country Music Awards- beating out the big boys for Entertainer of the Year. Last night, the 19 year old singer won Favorite Artist of the Year- beating out the King of Pop for the honor. Swift was not in attendance, as she was in London, but accepted her awards via satellite. When she for Favorite Artist of the Year, Swift was clearly in shock and speechless before saying, “To even be mentioned in a category with Michael Jackson … is an unimaginable honor. I’m sending my love to the Jackson family.”
Michael Jackson won 4 awards, making his AMA total at 23 awards. The late singer won for Favorite Soul/R&B Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Male Vocalist and Favorite Pop/Rock Album and Favorite Soul/R&B Album, both for Number Ones. His brother Jermaine accepted his award on Jackson’s behalf.

Swift Sweeps

Well Taylor Swift sure had a good night. The 19 year old country singer swept at the CMA’s ousting co-host Carrie Underwood for Female Vocalist of the Year and shocking all the boys, beating out big names such as Brad Paisley, George Straight, Kenny Chesney, and Keith Urban for Entertainer of the Year, the highest award. Swift immediately started crying once her name was called for Entertainer of the Year, and called her band to come onstage with her during her acceptance speech. “I will never forget this moment because in this moment everything I have ever wanted has just happened to me,” she said, not able to wipe the shell shocked expression of her face.
