When Emma’s boyfriend Daniel pops the question with a ring the size of a small country, she suddenly realizes just how different their worlds are. She wants a low-key wedding with close friends and family, while Daniel’s mother is expecting a society party that their high-brow guests won’t forget! While Emma is envisioning the town hall and Uncle Colin’s pub for the reception, future mother-in-law Philippa is talking chandeliers, silver wedding favors and chocolate fountains…
How on earth can Emma put together a vintage champagne-sodden celebration – fit for Lords and Ladies – on a beer pocketbook? Not to mention the fact her cross-dressing Uncle Barbara wants to be a bridesmaid, her best friend Kelly can’t stand Daniel’s best friend Cressida, and her dad is too proud to accept any help from Daniel’s family toward the costs.
There are three months to go until the big day. But will it be memorable for all the wrong reasons?
This book was just awesome. That’s how I would describe it. I loved what the drama was around – wedding planning, bringing families together, and the stress of getting married. It was something fresh for me, whereas I’m used to reading the drama being around the relationship and breakups and cheating scandals, etc, so I was really drawn to this. Emma and Daniel could win the sweetest couple award, and I had a fantastic time getting to know each character. It was so heartwarming watching this wedding come together, and during the actual main event, I felt I was right there in the square, enjoying this one of a kind wedding. I breezed through this read, highly engaged, and would most definitely recommend for your spring reading list.

Best friends Scarlett and Shannon spend their days tangled up in dog leashes and covered in fur, running their dog business together. Scarlett’s intensive training course, Ruff Love, fixes owners as much as their pets, while Shannon spends her days walking spoiled pooches.
They share more than their business though: they also share Scarlett’s husband, Rufus, who’s been Shannon’s best friend since childhood. It’s a cozy setup. Unless one of them has a secret…
When Scarlett and Rufus’s baby plans are decimated by a surprise turn of events, their marriage hits the rocks and they both turn to Shannon. All three relationships are pushed to breaking point, but when loyalties become divided, how do you decide who’s most important?
Since I am a huge dog lover myself, I thought this would be a great fit for me! I have read nearly everything from Michele Gorman in the past, so I was happy to take on another chick lit read from her. This book was really quite adorable to read. From friendships to relationships to a whole lot of dogs, I thoroughly enjoyed this from beginning to end. It was a quick read and had plenty of humorous moments mixed in with the more emotional. A fun one to read!
