I Have a Bone To Pick With….

Reality TV “stars.” What is the deal with all these people thinking they are God’s gift to Earth when they possess no talent? I am tired of seeing the cast of ‘Jersey Shore’ thinking that they need more money and more privilege. We know you got on the show because of you’re ridiculous home videos, cosmetically enhanced bodies, and being stupid enough to repeatedly embarrass yourself on national television. Also, Heidi Montag. What is your deal woman?? How can you tell girls that they should feel beautiful in their own bodies when nothing on your body is real anymore? We know that you can’t act, that you definitely cannot sing, so now the only way you can be famous is to destroy your body and start over again? Creepy. And oh Kate Gosselin. Stop crying to the cameras about how much you miss your children. That you have to do stints like Dancing With the Stars to be able to support them. Maybe if you didn’t live in a $1.1 million dollar house and get hair extensions every other day, your children would be okay. There are countless mothers out there that don’t feel the need to be a fame whore in order to get their children by. They get jobs, they work hard, to get their kids a good education and a roof over their head. Maybe Kate should think back to the days when she and Jon were happy and thankful for the little miracles in their lives, before money and fame got to their heads. Now your children are growing up in a divorced family and only seeing their mom when cameras are rolling. Makes me ill. Kate, you honestly can’t tell me that the only way you can make a living is by being a reality star. Give me a break.
I just have to wonder, do these people really think they’re all that and a bag of chips? You exploit your own lives, your children’s and parents and friends lives just to make good TV. You will never win a Grammy or an Oscar. You will continually be the butt of people’s jokes. And the worst part is? We see people with real talent act with more grace that these reality folks. Look at Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw & Faith Hill, Angelina and Brad, George Clooney, countless celebrities who use their money and platform to help others. While Kate spends her money on hair extensions, Heidi on EE breasts, and Snookie on spray tans. I’m scratching my head.

Paris Hilton Splits From Doug Reinhardt

Does this mean she is going to be back on the party scene/tabloid covers? I hope not. After 14 months of dating, the relationship between Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt has ended. Hilton’s rep confirmed the split to People.com, saying, “The relationship between Paris and Doug is over. She broke up with him more than two weeks ago.”

Will You Watch the Final Season of The Hills?

The Hills is finally coming to an end. After 6 seasons following the breakout show Laguna Beach, the reality/scripted MTV series will be shutting off the cameras. “We are lucky and honored to have worked with this cast and tell their stories for this long, and we are grateful to the many dedicated fans who have stuck with us over the years. We owe it to those fans, the cast and the show to go out on a high note. And this season will deliver on that goal in terms of drama, story, real emotion and an organic culmination of this saga,” says MTV’s President of Programming Tony DiSanto said in a statement. Season 6 begins airing episodes on April 27th, but right now the big question is if Lauren Conrad will return for the last episodes. After all, it began with Conrad being filmed during high school for Laguna Beach, then following her move to LA on The Hills. Will you be watching the series finale?

Heidi Montag’s Debut Album Tanks

I have banned any Heidi Montag/Spencer Pratt news from my blog before for obvious reasons, but this article just made me smile. No, it’s not about her multiple plastic surgeries so she can be a “role model for other girls.” That’s disgusting. No this is on her musical talent- or lack of talent. The wanna-be celebrity sold less than 1,000 copies of her debut album Superficial in its first week of release. Usmagazine reports the total number sold is actually 658. Awesome. Montag was quoted as saying, “within the first week, we will definitely make our money back.” She also estimated that she had spent almost $2 million dollars making the album. Again- awesome.

Lauren Conrad, known for her reality series The Hills has yet another project to add to her budding list. The star, 23, will pen a style book to be called simply Lauren Conrad Style. Lauren Conrad designs an affordable clothing line for Kohls, and her follow-up to L.A. Candy, titled Sweet Little Lies will go on sale February 2, 2010.
