My Top 10 of 2010

Now that 2010 is almost officially over, I decided I just had to make a list of my favorite books of the year. As I looked at my Excel spreadsheet that listed the 121 titles that I read during the past year, I got a little overwhelmed at picking my Favorites. Luckily, I realized that I had made this task a bit easier on myself by adding a Favorites section on my blog. That helped narrow down my choices, but it was still difficult coming up with my Favorite 10 of 2010. Here are the books I chose (in no particular order).

Go Small or Go Home by Heather Wardell4.5 stars

A Vintage Affair by Isabel Wolff4 stars

Waxed by Robert Rave5 stars

Hook Line and Sink Him by Jackie Pilossoph4.5 stars

Good Things by Mia King4.5 stars

Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella4.5 stars

Reunion by JL Penn5 stars

On Folly Beach by Karen White- 5 stars

Georgia’s Kitchen by Jenny Nelson5 stars

Life After Yes by Aidan Donnelley Rowley5 stars

I love these best of 2010 lists because they’re always filled with gems I’ve not read (and often haven’t even heard of!). I love the look of Life After Yes, Good Things, and On Folly Beach, and might try to get my hands on them. And would you believe that I’ve never read Sophie Kinsella? The shame!

Have you read Liane Moriarty? I enjoyed her novel The Last Anniversary (and am writing a review of it at this very moment!).

I agree, Stephanie, it’s been fun looking at what other bloggers are putting on their lists. I remember Good Things was a novel I read at the beginning of the year, and it still stood out to me so vividly eleven months later- that’s a good book 🙂 I have not read anything by her, but I will definitely check out your review of the book!
