Wedding Update: I’ve Lost My Marbles

One week and it’s official: I have lost my marbles. It is so crazy that in just one week the big day will finally be here. We got engaged July 26, 2012 and the planning really kicked off from there. I believe it was by late August that we had all the venues and the date in place. Now we’re putting the final touches on everything – I’ve sent out the schedule of events to my bridesmaids and attendants, I’ve contacted all my vendors to confirm what time they are showing up (and how much we still owe them – ouch!), I have my appointment for my final fitting where I will take home my dress, and most importantly – my mom flies in tomorrow! It’s been so hard not having her here for all of the planning and appointments, but through lots of phone calls, emails, and Skype, we’ve made it work. I feel like tomorrow really kicks everything off, as we are busy every day from there! The rest of my family flies in or drives down on Thursday, and we will have a full house the two nights before the big day. But back to my original statement – my marbles are lost. I have wedding brain all the way. I’ve been finding myself walking into the kitchen only to forget why. I’ve pulled up a Word Doc on the computer, gotten distracted (by something wedding) then couldn’t remember what I was going to do. I’ve forgotten to return calls, text messages, and emails. It’s almost a hazard to send work emails anymore, because I’m so frazzled and flustered that I just know I’ll make a mistake. So before I start making silly spelling and grammatical errors, I think I’ll just end this post and back away slowly from my computer!
