Claire Matturro is an award winning author with four published titles, all revolving around heroine Lilly Cleary. Matturro, whose career included becoming the first woman partner at the Sarasota law firm Dickinson and Gibbons, puts her legal background to use in her novels, with mystery, suspense, and a whole lot of sass while following Lilly Cleary as she works at a Sarasota law firm.
Matturro grew up in rural Alabama and on the gulf coast of Florida, and graduated from The University of Alabama College of Law. She worked as an appellate lawyer for a decade, then taught on the writing facutly at Florida State University College of Law. While her main character does have many similarities to her own life, Matturro states that Lilly Clearly and her fictional stories are purely from her imagination, not from events in her own life.
Claire Matturro’s published titles are : Sweetheart Deal, Wildcat Wine, Bone Valley, and Skinny-Dipping. She currently lives in south Georgia with her husband Bill.
