Summary:

Review:
Looking at the cover, I figured I was in for a feel-good chick lit story, probably with a lot of laughs. While that is all true, this book had so much more depth than what I initially had thought. Bernice and David’s marriage is simply a hot mess. I felt so terrible for Bernice and what she had gone through, and frustrated with David that he couldn’t seem to understand how he made his wife feel. The core of this novel was filled with funny yet touching moments, lessons to be learned, and wonderful friendships and bonds formed while Bernice spends her honeymoon alone, wondering what to do about her marriage. The ending actually had me shaking my head, as I didn’t agree with the decision Bernice made, and when there was the final turning point, I wanted to pump my fist in the air and declare “I knew it!” A truly touching novel that will have a lot to offer readers, and I recommend this to you.
