My Review
A classic enemies to lovers storyline but with a witty HOA twist, Next Door Nemesis was a comical Midwest romp featuring old friends Collins and Nate. Collins flees to her parents home after a messy breakup goes viral on the internet and she’s blacklisted from the entertainment industry, and is surprised to find her (prior) closest friend Nate is still living in their hometown and on the HOA board. When their run-ins go south, Collins decides getting revenge on Nate is the thing to do, so she decides to run for HOA president against him. Chaos ensues as the two battle it out in front of their town, and as a reader, it was quite clear their feelings were still there after so many years. I loved the secondary cast, the friendship Collins forms in the neighborhood, her parents are a hoot to read about, and this book was a great piece of escapism for a good laugh while reading. The ending was a little drawn out for me but overall, a very light-hearted and fun rom com that I would recommend!
