Every year Allure releases a Best of Beauty round up, and every year many of us are confused as to how some of these products end up on this list. I apply a full face of these products on my YouTube channel, while also roasting some of the other “winners”. In this blog post however, I will be sharing five of the products that I think definitely deserve to be winners, and would recommend them to you.
I wasn’t surprised to see the Nars Light Reflecting Foundation $49 on this list. I have talked about this one quite a bit on my platforms. This foundation is described as an advanced makeup-skincare-hybrid that blurs and smooths while improving skin’s clarity over time. This medium coverage, natural finish foundation looks so nice on my drier skin type. I wear the shade Santa Fe if you were curious.
I was very excited to see another favorite on this list, Lancome Teint Idole Full Coverage Concealer $29. I feel like this concealer doesn’t get talked about a lot, at least in the content that I am consuming. This is a hydrating, yet long wearing full coverage concealer that doesn’t crease or look cakey. I need an undereye concealer that can cover my dark circles without accentuating my fine lines and dry skin. I wear the shade Buff.
The ColourPop Super Shock Shadows $6 won the single eyeshadow category. I used to not be a fan of these products, because I didn’t want to use my fingers to apply makeup. Over the last year or two, I have become a changed woman. These Super Shock Shadows are so quick and easy to apply. The metallic ones especially leave a super impactful, special look to your eyes. You can use these are a one and done type shadow, or to amp up your eye look after using another palette. I am a ColourPop affiliate, you can use my code MARCHBEAUTY to save money.
If you peek at my YouTube description box, in the ON ME section often, you will have been seeing the L’Oreal Fresh Wear Bronzer $15.99 in there quite a bit; I’ve been reaching for it a lot. This bronzer has a natural – matte finish, is buildable, and has a great shade range for the drugstore.
Let’s finish this off with a lip product recommendation. The Clarins Lip Comfort Oil $27. These recently got reformulated with more natural and nourishing ingredients, and updated packaging. This feels hydrating, juicy, comfortable and not sticky at all on the lips. High shine, with a hint of color. There were a lot of Allure lip categories, but I am glad that I tried these from Clarins.
