It’s a boy! NFL star Tom Brady and his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen welcomed a son on Tuesday night. People.com reported that Brady announced the birth to reporters on Wednesday, calling the birth, “a wonderful experience in my life.” Bundchen, 29, and Brady, 32, married in a private ceremony in Los Angeles in February, then again in April for family and friends at Bundchen’s Costa Rican estate. This is the first child for Bundchen, and the second for Brady, who has a son with actress Bridget Moynahan.
Tyler Perry, actor and producer, has lost his mother. Willie Maxine Perry passed away at age 64. This message was posted to Perry’s website on Tuesday, “Willie Maxine Perry. February 12, 1945 to December 8, 2009. Thank you for all your prayers.” Perry, 40, had credited his mother, a preschool teacher in New Orleans, for being the inspiration for the popular ‘Madea’ character, according to People.com. There were no immediate details about her death.
We all know that eating breakfast gives you fuel to get you through the day, but what does lunch do for you? More than you may think. Marisa Moore, R.D., a spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association says, “What you eat can determine how much energy you’ll have for the rest of the day and whether you’ll overdo it at dinner.” Some suggestions were posted to Shape.com for different sceneries that you may come across. If you hit up the gym instead of eating lunch. Sometimes I take a Pilates class during my lunch hour, or (when the weather was nicer!) take a walk outside of my office. But you should never skip lunch! Instead, try to have a healthy snack (about 100-150 calories) an hour before your workout. Afterwards, try to get some protein to refuel your system, such as a salad with a lean meat. And drink lots of water to stay hydrated! You don’t have time for a full meal. If you can’t sit down and eat a real meal, it is okay to snack throughout the day- making sure you are keeping it healthy (snacking on Oreo’s doesn’t count!) Actor John Stamos is confirming he was a victim to an attempted extortion plot. The Full House star says he was blackmailed for $680,000 by a man and women threatening to sell tabloid photos that were simply of Stamos posing with fans. People.com reports that the alleged extortionists were arrested last week in a FBI sting operation. The FBI then raided the home of Allison Coss, 23, and Scott Sippola, 30, of Marquette, Michigan, and found three photos of Stamos, a piece of paper with Stamos's personal cell phone number on it, and a list of three tabloid magazines with contact numbers for each. Matt Polk, a rep for the actor, gave this statement, “John Stamos was the target of an extortion attempt. The U.S. Attorney and the FBI handled the investigation swiftly and with great expertise. The photos in question are photos of John posing with fans. At the conclusion of the investigation and hearing, the photos will be available and the public will be able to see that the photos are simply John posing with fans.” The suspects have posted bond and the investigation remains pending.
Uma Thurman and her fiancée Arpad Busson have split. Usmagazine reports that the couple, who announced their engagement last June, split almost two months ago. Thurman, who has been divorced twice and has two children with ex-husband Ethan Hawke, was trying to keep the relationship with Busson quiet. Busson, a millionaire, gave Thurman an 8 carat diamond engagement ring. No reason for the split has been announced.
Someone explain to me what is wrong with Miley Cyrus, her family, and her stylists. The singer met the Queen of England at Monday's Royal Variety Awards in London, and chose to wear a cleavage baring orange dress. Even better, when the 17 year old performed, she was barely clothed in tiny leather hotpants and a crop top. She also has recently sported a tattoo under her left breast that reads “just breathe.”
Hulk Hogan has put a ring on it. The wrestler, 56, and his girlfriend Jennifer McDaniel are engaged, Usmagazine is reporting. The couple have been together for nearly two years. Hogan’s ex-wife, Linda, filed for divorce in November of 2007 after marrying in 1983. The couple have two children together, Brooke, 21, and Nick, 19.
