Mel Gibson is celebrating fatherhood for the eighth time. People.com has confirmed that the 53 year old actor welcomed daughter Lucia on Friday, October 30th. Gibson’s girlfriend is musician Oksana Grigorieva, who has son Alexander from a previous relationship. Gibson has seven children (six sons and one daughter) with ex-wife Robyn. Robyn Gibson filed for divorce after 30 years of marriage in April.
Model Karolina Kurkova has welcomed her first child, son Tobin Jack Drury, last Thursday. People.com reports that Tobin weighed in at 6 lbs. 3 oz. This is the first child for Kurkova and fiancé Archie Drury, film producer.
Michael Jackson’s This Is It has been extended, now being shown in theaters through Thanksgiving. The documentary shows rehearsal scenes of the King of Pop preparing for a comeback tour in London. So far, This Is It has pulled in $101 million worldwide five days, and Sony has decided to extend the dates, giving more fans the opportunity to see Michael Jackson’s final days.
Ah, finally some Miley Cyrus news that I can agree with. Sixteen year old Miley has been named the 2009 Worst Celebrity Influence. To make it worse for Miss Miley, this was not a poll taken by adults that would be turned off by her choices, outfits, and dance moves. No, no, this poll is strictly for tweens- kids between the ages of 9-15. So why is her fan base suddenly turning against her? Why did 42% vote for Miley Cyrus, while Britney Spears only received 27% and Kayne West 19% of votes? My take would be that Brittney and Kayne don’t claim to be role models for tweens. They are adults; they make mature videos, sing about mature topics, that’s what adults do. But why is a sixteen year old dancing on a pole and making a music video where viewers can almost completely see up her shorts? I can only hope that people are realizing what a mess Miley Cyrus is, and can only imagine it is going to get worse before getting any better. I agree completely with this poll, taking by JSYK.com (Just So You Know), an AOL pop culture blog. On the other side of the poll, Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas, Taylor Swift, Emma Watson, and Justin Bieber were named “Best Celeb Influence.” Way to go.
Colin Farrell and his girlfriend Alicja Bachleda welcomed a son on October 7th in Los Angeles, People.com has reported. Henry Tadeusz Farrell is the first child for Alicja, and the second for Farrell, who has son James, 6, with model Kim Bordenave. The pregnancy was first reported in September.
Despite blogs buzzing about a possible baby bump showing on Pam Anderson, friend and fashion designer Richie Rich are saying they are not true. He told Usmagazine that Anderson is not pregnant, nor broke, another rumor that was spread earlier that Anderson was severely in debt. He also said she doesn’t comment on the rumors because they are simply not true, instead focusing her energy on two children and being the best mom to them. Kudos Pam.
Everyone can breathe a sigh of relief. Josh Duhamel did not cheat on wife Fergie with a stripper. Whew. The National Enquirer published a story that the 36 year old actor was unfaithful with a blonde Atlanta stripper who goes by the stage name ‘Delilah.’ Duhamel’s rep told Usmagazine that the story was absolutely false; also saying that it seems this stripper was paid a large sum of money to report the false accusations. The couple were married January 10, 2009.
