#BeautyReview: Olay Luminous Whip Face Moisturizer with SPF 25

I’m currently working on a post all about my summer essentials, and at the top of my list – the Olay Luminous Whip Face Moisturizer with SPF 25. I have been able to test out this new moisturizer for the past couple of weeks, and I am impressed. It’s a light-weight moisturizer with a slight scent, but also will protect the skin with SPF 25. I’ve been loving this moisturizer because I can tell it’s making a difference. I live in Iowa, and we went from freezing rain and six inches of snow in late April, to 90+ degrees and extreme humidity by mid-May. I love taking my dog for walks, and as the weather got nicer, I would just pop out with her for 30-45 minute walks outside, and my face was getting red and freckly. I started using this moisturizer in the morning and have noticed a big difference in my face – no more sunburn, no more freckles, and that makes me happy. I also wore this when I went boating over Memorial Day weekend, with sunshine and a high of 99 degrees on the boat. I applied once in the morning, and then again on the boat in the afternoon and had no sunburn, no redness. My body – where I used a different sunscreen – was a different story. I’m still currently peeling from that trip.

This moisturizer is also great to wear under foundation. It’s fast-absorbing, not sticky or greasy, and gives the skin a hydrated look. I’ve tried this under several of my favorite foundations and am happy with the final look each time. When you’re thinking summer essentials or packing your beach bag, don’t forget your SPF!
