Best and Worst Eyeshadow Palettes of 2021

The last couple of years, I have ranked all the eyeshadow palettes I’m trying. It is a fun way to quickly review and roundup so many eyeshadows, and recap my thoughts for you. For todays blog post, I’m going to share my top and bottom three palettes. For all 30+ palettes, watch my YouTube video below.

Bottom 3: The Worst Eyeshadow Palettes I Tried in 2021

ColourPop x Bambi Flower. This five pan purple palette is ranking in the lowest spot because this quality is just not up to ColourPop’s standards. Sometimes with ColourPop’s collabs, the quality is hit or miss. While this palette is fine, it’s not great, and I was disappointed.

Elf x Chipotle. I was really excited for this collab! This collection even prompted me to drive an hour away to eat there, and I do not see the hype. I don’t mind the quality of this one, the shadows were really easy to work with. It’s simply that the color scheme that throws me off. I don’t know what to do with it.

ColourPop Lovestruck. The higher the expectations, the harder the fall. I was extremely disappointed with this release from ColourPop. I was beyond hyped for these. The moment they came in PR I dropped everything to photograph, swatch, a look with each of the five palettes, and get my review video ready. While these aren’t utter crap, many of the palettes contain pressed glitters, or mattes with micro glitter, which are two formulas I really don’t enjoy.

Top 3: The Best Eyeshadow Palettes I Tried in 2021

Natasha Denona Glam Face and Eye. A newer palette to my collection, but I can’t say enough good things. This palette has two options for different skin tones, I bought mine in Light. The five eyeshadows in here are so easy to work with. The mattes are smooth, the shimmers are poppin’ and impress me so much! The inclusion of a cream blush, and highlight is really great as well.

Kaja Neutral Moment Trio. Talk about something I didn’t see coming! I go into this little guy so so much. A brown smokey eye is a favorite of mine. Quick, easy, simple makeup looks are my go-to.

Natasha Denona Retro. Are we surprised that Natasha has found herself in the number one spot again? No? That’s good! This palette really did some things to me this year! Retro has managed to dethrone a trusty favorite of mine for years – the Love palette. Every look I create with this palette looks romantic, feminine, and beautiful.
