Book Review: Cop an Attitude by Hilary Grossman

About the Book

Their reunion left a lot to be desired. Are they a disaster in the making or totally meant to be?

I kicked love to the curb for the greater good. After all, my soaring career would’ve made my family so proud, and men have a tendency to stop success cold. But I never expected a single and sexy police officer to pull me over, flirt with me, and then write me a ticket.

Now I see the infuriating cop everywhere I go. It doesn’t help that we have a past, and he’s an amazing dad to his daughter. And every time I want to get back to my small-town routine, I can only think about what my life would be like with the no-nonsense policeman…

I should really just forget the whole thing. But if I do, will I lose my last chance at love?

Cop An Attitude is the charming first book in the I Can’t Stop Loving You romantic comedy series. If you like engaging characters, enemies to lovers, and laughing out loud, then you’ll adore Hilary Grossman’s humorous walk on the wild side.

My Review

I have read each novel from Hilary Grossman and I aways look forward to her next. Luckily, she writes at a fast pace and has a great library to choose from. Moving on from the Forest River PTA Mom’s series, we start a fresh series and this is the first book in it – called the I Can’t Stop Loving You series. A classic enemies to lovers storyline, but Cop an Attitude also offers some refreshing twists. Waverly is single and successful and happy to stay that way – until she is pulled over one night by a handsome cop, Pete. Even though he embarrassed her during their exchange, she still feels a pull to him … but little does she know, they actually have a past. Pete was embarrassed by Waverly when they were kids, and he was never able to let that go. Now, he’s having fun dishing it back to Waverly, who’s unaware of why Pete seems to dislike her so much.

The back and forth between the main characters was just the right amount to keep me interested in their storyline without growing tired of it. The only part I didn’t so much love is it seemed at times Pete was abusing his power as a police officer. It was nice to see him as a single dad and how he juggles raising his daughter with his hectic and dangerous career. Waverly was a tough cookie, but she was easily likeable and I was rooting for the two to come together. The second book in the series, Cop a Plea, is available for pre-order now!

I loved Pete, even more than Waverly. He has such an Honest heart.
