I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Brooke Ogden seems to have it all figured out: a great boyfriend, a successful relationship column and a wonderful friend. It all comes crashing down, and she soon realizes that she is the one that needs advice, not just her readers. The book started to grab my attention about 100 pages in, although I felt that it didn’t take advantage of its potential to be captivating and funny.
I found it far-fetched that an advice coach could make so many poor decisions, while still being able to give others advice that made sense. There were definitely parts of the book that made me laugh out loud, but most of the time I was confused by the main characters actions. It seemed more like a self-help book.
Overall, it was a cute story, but I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend.
My cousin recommended this book and said she enjoyed it. I guess I will have to just check it out myself
