About Charlotte’s Restrained
Charlotte’s Restrained, a comical fictional tale of what happens when the paths of a celebrity god and a mere mortal collide.
While vacationing, Charlotte has a chance encounter with a celebrity famous for his lead roles in romantic comedies. Unfortunately for Charlotte, lighthearted banter develops into tabloid fodder. With her career, friendships, and new found romance all impacted, Charlotte sets about dealing with the fallout of her fifteen minutes of fame.
My Review:
I am really starting to adore books that are a series and follow girlfriends. I knew I was going to get along with The Accidental Series right away, and I was right! The first book really kicks off with a bang, and we meet each friend, with the emphasis on Charlotte. Charlotte meets her celebrity crush, but it all goes haywire when she can’t stop running into him, ends up looking like a stalker, and gets slapped with a restraining order! As we follow along with Charlotte as she tries to get over her mishap with the law, we delve into the friendships between the women, get a twist of romance, and plenty of humor between the pages. This book was full of laughs and I was mighty eager to keep reading the series after I finished!

My Review:
I love being able to read a series close together, and with this one I was actually able to read books 1 and 2 back to back, which was a total bonus! I thought the beginning of this book was brilliant. We got little clips into each girlfriend’s lives so we could play catch up with them before getting into the meat of Kathleen’s story. I’m usually a fan of first books in series, that’s just the way I am, and I did enjoy Charlotte’s book just a smidge more than Kathleen’s, but that’s not unusual for me. I thought the pace was a little bit slower this time around, but it sure didn’t deter me from enjoying my read. I’m so excited for the third book to come out!

Celia Kennedy was born in Wurzburg, Germany on a military base. Her parent’s penchant for traveling has stuck with her, she’s lived in and traveled through several countries.
The imagined world has always fascinated Celia. She has studied Art History, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and Architecture. Her thirteen year career at UW in Seattle ended in 1996. Not wanting to be homeless, she left the academic world and worked as a Landscape Architect, married the love of her life, became a mom, has been PTA President, and both Boy and Girl Scout Leader.
