Absolutely spectacular, Cecilia London does it again! Only, Better…if possible…than the first book in this series,”Dissident”!! She leaves you salivating for the next installment!! I know I am!!!
This is a thrill-ride that you will devour! There are political issues running through the veins of this book, and an all-encompassing cast of characters and events that will leave you spellbound. Our heroine, Caroline Gerard McIntyre is back….being treated savagely…hatefully…but, not allowing herself to be changed by the very government she had once worked for. She is so strong, and trusts so much in her the love for Jack.
Caroline will not give in or give up easily, no matter how hard these people try!! (and, boy do they try) They cannot break her, Caroline and Jack are back…Stronger than ever!
As stated in my review of “Dissident” (Book 1 in this Saga), that was my first dystopian society story, and I became so captivated that I anxiously awaited the August release of this book! I have to say that it is so cool to be introduced to a totally different type of story than you have ever read before!!
Her story is absolutely mind-blowing!!
Honestly, I was never intrigued by the summaries of stories with this subject matter; yet, something struck me when I read about Cecilia’s first book, and I had to be part of it!
I am thrilled to continue this journey with her….
Caroline and Jack McIntyre are still in a fine mess, as they try to fight the American Government that has gone rogue. I am so in love with these characters, as Cecilia writes about them with such dignity…about their love for each other and their family….and their country. They will stop at nothing to find a way to make things right! But, what will they lose in the upheaval and do they even have what it takes to make a change for the better?
This book is a super-fast paced read, because the momentum is so strong. It is purely sadistic at times, yet, full of love, sex and valor. While your heart is being ripped out, and while you turn your head from disgust, your stomach is turning at the sheer evil surrounding Caroline and Jack…and, you absolutely cannot look away. No Way!
Cecilia London brings to life a society full of chaos, and at the end of its rope.
This is a super smart story, every scene is so powerful it its nature…Political storylines, or government take-overs were never my thing….But; Cecilia London has made it “my thing”!
She writes so vividly and honestly that I felt like I was watching a movie…I saw it all so clearly in my head.
I adore her covers.
