My review is coming way late, but I recently made another purchase with Erin Condren Design, so I knew I had to let you know how my Life Planner from her worked out for me. As some of you may know I got married this past September, and my schedule was filled with parties and fittings and things-to-do, on top of my regular work schedule, so my sister-in-law referred me to Erin Condren Design. What an adorable site! I wanted to buy one of everything upon getting to the home page. I was able to reel it in and only purchase what I needed –a life planner. And let me tell you, if you are looking for an excellent calendar to help you stay organized, this one is for you.
First, you can customize it to make it truly your own. On the cover (hard, plastic laminate – love because I carry in my purse) I chose to write down a few of my favorite things: notice my name, names of my nieces and nephews, and hobbies I enjoy such as dance and yoga. They have simpler patterns to choose from too if that is more your style. It’s a large calendar, “7.25×9.25” and you will have plenty of space to fill up the pages. You have a few different calendar options, such as a month at a glance and weekly, and I utilized both. You also get a ton of awesome add-ons, which I think makes the planner really special. You get a special dates section, important contact info sheet, a snap-in ruler, fun labels, and 20 pages of simple notebook paper, which I used to make my grocery/shopping lists.
All in all, my planner came in great aide for me in planning my wedding. I recently purchased a desk pad to help with my daily calendar now that I’m going full-time books and have a lot of deadlines to meet, and I was so bummed to see the life planners were out of stock! The will be available for pre-sale in June, and I have it on my reminder list to check into getting one!

Contributor: Michelle We’ve had an awfully cold/long winter here in New England so I’ve been on the hunt for a new sunless tanning lotion to…
I received these products in exchange for an honest review by Second Glance Beauty.
I’m always up for trying new beauty products, and today I’m talking about a Tangle Teaser Brush and Marvel 10 Leave-In Hair Treatment, both from Simply Beautiful. I recently cut 6 inches off (sob) and my hair is now just below my shoulders, still frizzy as every and basically a pain each morning. With that being said, here are my thoughts on the products!
Tangle Teaser Brush
This might sound strange, but I don’t really brush my hair. When I do, it gets really poufy and too soft for me to wrangle. I comb my hair after showers, so please don’t envision a rat’s nest! I started using the brush after showering, and often while I would blow dry my hair. A lot of times when I blow dry my hair I run into tangles and knots, but using the brush really helped to prevent that, much easier than my regular comb. The brush also feels good on my scalp which was a nice bonus!
Marvel 10
I’ve tried a lot of different products to help tame my hair and make it frizz-free, and I was recently told to give a leave-in conditioner a shot. So what perfect timing this was! I think the spray works well, it helps give my hair shine and it feels soft without making it look greasy. I don’t like the way it smells, almost too chemically, but it seems to do a good job. I use it 2-3 times a week and will continue doing so after I shower.
I give both products 4 stars and I’m eager to try out more from this company!
People…meet my new best friend! I’ve always struggled with frizzy hair and have tried (and reviewed) about a zillion products, and much like I have a go-to moisturizer, I now have a go-to hair product. Garnier Sleek and Shine Moroccan Sleek Oil Treatment is a must when I get out of the shower. I was worried that an oil would make my hair greasy and gross looking, but I’m so happy with the way my hair looks when I use this. The smell is great, it makes my hair soft and frizz-free, and it has a healthy shine to it that I rarely ever see. I’ve been recommending this product left and right, and I hope you can grab a bottle if you have unruly hair – it’s quite inexpensive! I was looking through the reviews and one gal says she even uses some mixed in with her conditioner when she showers – you can bet I’m trying that idea out right away!

A few months back, a friend told me she has recently joined the site Hautelook, where she could get designer looks for less. I visited the website that day – and joined immediately! I am a big fan of online shopping – especially in our winter where it’s tough for me to even leave the house – and to get designer clothes and shoes for much, much cheaper…well, I was a happy camper! I have since ordered multiple items from the website, had timely shipping, and didn’t have any surprises when it came to my merchandise. I have not yet had to return anything (which is good!) or else I would give feedback on that aspect. If you enjoy the finer things in life but don’t like to part with your cash, I recommend checking out this website! Be sure to look ahead and see which designers are coming up – because the hottest items can get sold out fast!
I’m a big fan of tinted moisturizer, and recently I tried the one from Stila, a newer brand for me. There is SPF 15 in it which is great, and it provided a sheer coverage that gave me that extra tint so I don’t have to use so much bronzer. Overall I really like the product, but I’ve found in the winter it can severely dry out my skin. Some people think I’m crazy to use a tinted moisturizer in the winter, but I think why not? Lately I’ve been going with BB Creams such as the one from Maybelline, and found a lot of success in them. I might visit Stila again in the summer though!

I have been buying my makeup lately from Ulta. It’s a giant store, they have good prices, and they have a reward program, which I love. I also get a coupon from them every month in the mail, so why not? On one of my last trips there they were having a buy one get one half off sale for Ulta beauty products. I grabbed a mascara and eyeliner, and decided to check them out.
The verdict? I like the eyeliner more, but it’s not up to par with the usual Maybelline that I try on. It wears off too quickly, and if I’m going out I have to put it in my clutch so I can reapply it after a few hours. The mascara I really wasn’t a fan of. I have since stopped using it, because I don’t notice anything. No length, no volume, nada. So I don’t think I’ll be picking up the Ulta brand anymore, even if they are having a great sale!
I have always had pretty good luck with Garnier Fructis products, and I recently purchased their Color Shield Conditioner. I usually dye my hair darker…
