Just left my first review on BN.COM for “SOMETHING BORROWED” by Emily Giffin. My name on BN.COM is “our2bigboys” – sorry for the confusion there. I loved this book. Can’t wait to read the next one.
Thanks for having this challenge. I wouldn’t have read this book otherwise, and it was a phenomenal book!
I forgot to leave a comment yesterday that I posted my first review for the challenge on my blog.
My first review is up, for “Trust me on this” by Jennifer Crusie.
Hi! The first book I read for the challenge was The Next Best Thing by Kristan Higgins. I posted the following on my Facebook:
First book read for my 2011 Chick Lit Reading Challenge: The Next Best Thing by Kristan Higgins. Fabulous! Probably my favorite by Kristan Higgins. The hero was a surprising choice, but so endearing. Do yourself a favor and don’t read the blurb before you start this one. It’ll ruin the surprise. And have I mentioned the food? Don’t read on an empty stomach. You’ll be running to the bakery for something yummy.

Thanks everyone for posting so far! Be sure to put the title and author in the Name section and put the direct link to your review in the URL section. If you don’t have a blog, Amazon or GoodReads are simple sites that you can upload your reviews to! Thanks!
For some reason, the Mister Linky isn’t taking my link up above.

Mister Linky has been being funky all day. When I go in administratively and look at it, I can see your links are there. Hopefully tomorrow everything will be up and running smoothly, I can see about three other challengers who have their links up as well!
I reviewed Anyone But You by Jennifer Crusie on my blog…here is the link: http://joysrandomness.blogspot.com/2011/01/first-book-review.html
Loved the book! I am a HUGE fan of Jennifer Crusie!!
I just redid my link on Mr. Linky because I realized my URL didn’t go to my review. I posted my review on FB (it wouldn’t take that link) and then re-posted it over at Amazon. Hopefully Mr. Linky will like this. 🙂

I just received my support ticket back from them and said it might take some time, but eventually all those links will be shown. I’m crossing my fingers for tomorrow!
I just posted my first review for the challenge! It was for Stuck in the Middle (Sister to Sister #1) by Virginia Smith.

I just finished Shopaholic take Manhattan, by Sophie Kinsella. It was a fun, easy read-just what I needed after the holidays. But the money spending was sort of scary to read right after Christmas too-got me thinking about all that money I spent on gifts! LOL
Just finished and reviewed Heather Wardell’s Planning to Live. I absolutely LOVE Heather Wardell. I have read all of her novel’s and cannot wait for the release of her new one’s this year. If you haven’t read any of her works, check her out!!
Here is the link to my blog review…

My first review is up! The Wedding Girl by Madeleine Wickham. I’ve posted it on my blog (http://ow.ly/3xCDA ) and it will be on Goodreads shortly.
My first book for the 2011 was ‘The Starter Wife’. It may not be an overly new book…but it has moved me, and made me feel a lot better. It’s fun, funny, sad at parts. It makes you realize that no matter what our gross income is, or the life-style we live….women all have the same fears and pressures in their lives. The happy note is that Gracie does find that there is such a thing as true love…and that gives me hope for me.

I posted my review for Simply Irresistible by Jill Shalvis 🙂
I posted my review of Julie Buxbaum’s “The Opposite of Love” at http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2281335.The_Opposite_of_Love
Gorgeously written book. It didn’t touch me as deeply as I’d have expected, though, and I’m not sure why. I did enjoy it, however!
And Joy, thanks for reading and reviewing my “Planning to Live”! 🙂
One down 11 to go. I’m reading “Heist Society” by Ally Carter next.
