a-horse-named-joe-234x300Reviewer: Terry

Roni is an empty nester struggling to recover from losing her career-her focus in life’ when Wall Street collapsed during ’08. She also finds herself on the verge of divorce due to her depression and unwillingness to move on after her job lose.  So her understanding husband sends to a Bahamian Island to make some life choices. During her month long hiatus she not only meets some unique and wonderful people she finds a new direction for her life. Simply put the island changes her for the better.

The story not only tells of Roni’s adventure to the cutest little island in the Bahamas, but also of the fun adventures of the week her three best friends join her. This story makes you crave the turquoise blue waters, and the fine soft white sands of the island. Not to mention the truly unique and fun characters that one might meet out on the islands.  You can not help but picture each of the islands characters as if you are there on vacation with her, and I certainly could not be asked to pick just one favorite.

This is a inspiring story of finding what you love in life and daring to seek your purpose. I truly enjoyed this story from beginning to end.

lisa loomisAuthor Bio:

Lisa Loomis writes because she loves to. Her stories are about the human condition: love, life, and everything in between (including sex, drugs, alcohol, and things just crazy enough to be true). Her stories are not predictable, conventional, or lacking in the messiness of life. She tries to extract the real emotion in any given situation in her characters, with a touch of humor.

Lisa Loomis was born in Oakland California and raised in San Jose until she was a sophomore in high school. Her father then took a job in the San Diego area where he moved the family to Escondido, California (or hickville as she called it). She finished high school at San Pasqual High then went to junior college at Palomar JC, ultimately graduating from San Diego State University with a BS in Finance.

Finding more BS than finance with the financial meltdown in 2008 she went back to her passion of writing. Her currently published novels can be seen on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Smashwords.

She now lives and writes in Park City, Utah.
