Create a Morning Routine for Productivity + Positivity

I created a morning routine for myself in the summer of 2019, and I really credit a few simple changes for increasing my productivity and also starting the day on a more positive and focused note. Waking up early was an adjustment for me and it took several months of waking up five minutes early, then fifteen minutes early, then thirty minutes early, to eventually become an early riser versus a night owl.

Maybe you prefer being a night owl, your job requires late hours, or you find you are more creative or motivated at night – then it would be best to create a night routine that works well for you and your schedule!

I find that mornings work best for me because once I get started working, it’s hard to turn it off until it’s time to call it a night, and then I’m too tired to do much of anything productive. By focusing on myself in the mornings – giving me time to workout, create my schedule, and sometimes just sitting in silence – I feel less frantic when I walk into my office to start my work day. I know my goals, what I need to get accomplished, my schedule, and I feel ready to take on the day.

Routines are going to look different for everyone, but slowing working on building the morning routine that looked right for me has made such a positive impact on my life.
