Karsen Woods seems to be having a great life. Away at college, she has the perfect boyfriend, a fabulous best friend, her brother nearby, and a loving family back home. But her life is shattered when she gets the phone call that her mother was in accident, and didn’t survive. Everything begins to fall to pieces after the funeral, and Karsen’s charmed life suddenly doesn’t seem so bright. To add to everything, there is a mystery surrounding her necklace-a family tradition created when her grandfather handmade each immediate relative an interlinking charm- and is in the shape of a puzzle piece. When Karsen realizes that there is a missing piece, she finds out a secret her mother took to her grave.
Addison Reynolds, power woman who runs the magazine empire Urbane in Manhattan, knows she was adopted. But that was a secret that she never let out. Her exterior is tough, no-nonsense, and she would never let a personal situation come between her and her career and image. But when Addison lets it slip to her best friend Emily, Emily won’t let it go. But Addison doesn’t want to meet the woman who gave her up. She just doesn’t know that she will never be able to.
Family Pieces by debut author Misa Rush is a page turner. The two worlds of Karsen and Addison blend together flawlessly. Even though readers will pick up from the beginning that Addison is the missing puzzle piece, you will be wondering if she ever finds her birth family, or if her stubbornness keeps her away. In the middle of the story, Karsen is hit with another dilemma, one that I won’t say, but I was shocked and even more invested in the story after it happens. The plot is very believable, though almost extraordinary, and the characters are real and likeable. Family Pieces is an emotional tale that will teach you to never take your family for granted. Thank you to Misa Rush for going on tour with me and CLP Blog Tours!

Sounds intriguing. I have actually been wondering about this title since seeing it on your blog. I’m glad to know the story was good and not disappointing.
Thanks for taking the time to review!
Ah ha, I knew I wouldn’t be the only one to figure it all out. 🙂 Pretty much all the same thoughts I had!
