I’m a big fitness fanatic, and I’m always on board for trying something new when it comes to working out. From workout DVDs to kettleballs to hot Yoga, I love switching things up. While out shopping a few months back I saw an abdominal sweatband. I know a few friends who swear by theirs, so I thought I would give it a shot. Abdominal sweatbands have a bit of mixed reviews when I went online looking to see if they really do help with losing weight or getting toned. I found credible sites that said these things to do nothing besides make your belly sweat, I saw others that said while unproven, the bands are supposed to help shrink belly fat by increasing the temperatures and causing you to sweat. But my article isn’t on what’s right or wrong or to load you with scientific jargon. I just want to share my experience.
Abdominal sweatbands are not the most comfortable. I can only walk and run in my mine, and even running gets tricky after a while because the band will rise up and can dig uncomfortably into my skin. So not Pilates or Yoga while wearing it for me. Sometimes I wear mine around the house because I feel like it helps my posture. With it on, it’s hard to slouch in my chair because it’s reminding me to stay up right or else it will once again dig into my skin. So that I think is a huge benefit itself, because I work from home and on a computer all day, and my posture can really struggle at times. Finding myself hunched over with my shoulders to my ears is not unusual. When I take the band off after I get off the treadmill, it is a sweaty gross mess. I clean the band much like I do my Yoga mat – wipe it down with dish soap cleaner mixed with water – and let it air dry. Did the band give me a six pack? No. Did I think it would? No. If it were that easy, no one would take theirs off. But I like mine just fine. I wear it almost every time I’m on the treadmill, and around the house like I said above, when I’m working at my computer. While I don’t think an adnominal sweat band is a must to lose weight or get toned, I think it’s something small that can help you achieve your goals. But the most important thing to remember about fitness is that you have to put in the time and hard work to get the results. I don’t believe there are shortcuts in fitness, but the little things that can help keep us on track. Good luck!
Thankfulness to my father who stated to me about this
blog, this blog is actually amazing.
