10 years. 10 years ago today, the first post on Chick Lit Plus went live. I hired a blog designer in early September of 2009, worked with her on what I wanted CLP to look like, wrote a ton of articles before the blog launched, and on October 16 2009, the first post was published. I had no idea as twenty-two year old what the significance of that day would become. There have been so many triumphs and failures in my decade on social media. I started new businesses and closed a few. I worked hard in an industry that I have admired since a young girl. I published my first book, I interviewed authors who inspired me, and I made friends with people from all over the world. I learned a lot about myself, my work ethic, and my integrity. I can say without question that starting my blog was life-changing. It got to me where I am today – an entrepreneur, author, blogger and social media influencer. I’m so proud of everything I have accomplished and earned these past ten years, and I cannot wait to see what the next ten and beyond hold for me.
