Beauty Product Review: Jergens Natural Glow

As someone who stopped using tanning beds years ago, I often see quite a pale face staring back at me in the mirror. I have no problem getting spray tans, but those can pricey and let’s be serious – cold! A girlfriend started using Jergens Natural Glow lotion, and I could really see a difference. I bought a bottle for myself, and was able to cut down on the amount of spray tans I was getting. I had one issue though – my body looked nice and bronzed, my face was still ghost white. I purchased the lotion that is specifically for the face as well, and I love it! I don’t use it every day, but when I think I need a little boost or know I have weekend plans, I’ll use it in the morning during that week and have a nice glow! I have great results with both the body lotion and the face lotion, though I will recommend to wash your hands good after use, or else you’ll start to see coloration on your palms! Also, the face lotion can come out a little thick, so small amounts work best or else it almost feels like a mask.

You Don’t Know Jack by Adrianne Lee

I received a copy of You Don’t Know Jack by Adrianne Lee in exchange for an honest review.

You Don’t Know Jack by Adrianne Lee follows off Jacqueline Bouvier Smart, who has completely sworn off men … and murder. But, when she finds herself in quite a predicament when she stumbles over a dead body and into the arms of a a sexy former lover, she has no choice but to dive in head first. When her best friend in the entire world gets accused of murder, she goes all out in an attempt to find out who the true killer is. Along the way, she gets help from a few unexpected sources and together, they find clues and attempt to solve the mystery. But will it be too late?

I had so much fun diving into this book. Adrianne has crafted a clever, sexy and hilarious heroine in Jacqueline and she was an absolute delight to read. This book was quick paced, fun and quite a riot. The supporting characters were so much fun too, and boy oh boy, I sure flipped through the pages quickly to find out what would happen next. I read quite a few reviews online before starting and numerous reviewers suggested that they would love to see a series written about Jack and the slew of characters from this book, and I would definitely have to agree- I for one would definitely enjoy that. Overall, a very enjoyable and easy read. Quirky and witty and fun. I highly recommend this book.

Kate Middleton is Expecting!

Fabulous news out of the Royal Family today! It was so funny – I was chatting on the phone with my mom about how the rumors are really swirling about Kate Middleton being pregnant, and I logged onto People.com to see their breaking news – Prince William and Duchess Kate are expecting! This is the statement People.com shared: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news. The Duchess was admitted this afternoon to King Edward VII Hospital in Central London with Hyperemesis Gravidarum. As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter.”
I have been one that is obsessed with William and Kate – I loved staying up to watch their wedding and find Kate to be a top-notch role model to young girls, and of course – her classic fashion sense. No due date was announced, but I’m sure much of the world – myself included – will be watching and waiting anxiously!
