When pet funeral writer Holly Colshannon finally gets a promotion, she couldn’t be more excited. She is now a crime reporter, and working under the devastatingly handsome detective sergeant James Sabine. Playing James is the first novel from Sarah Mason, and makes readers look forward to what she has next to come. The characters are well written and believable, and the comedic twist on a rookie crime reporter makes for laughs throughout the novel.
