Ranking Palettes I Used in July

Every month I rank all of the eyeshadow products I use throughout the month. A mix of old and new. A lot of my content lately has been focusing on using what we already own. I have been feeling very overwhelmed with the new makeup releases, and have taken a step back. This is shown in this ranking, as there are only 6 spots this month. There are no true fails, or standouts. For the full July ranking, and some palette closing ASMR, check out my YouTube video below.

Bottom 2 Eyeshadows

#6 Charlotte Tilbury Pretty Fresh ($75). I think the pricing of this “quick & easy” makeup set is bananas. None of the products have caps on them; you must bring the entire set with you. I think the concept of the product was cool, but I can’t get on with the cost. I was happy to receive it in PR to test out and review it for you. Steering back towards the eyeshadow specifically, this set some with a creamy shadow stick. The one I have is a golden champagne shade. It’s easy to smudge all over the lids, tap out with my finger, and run out the door.

#5 Natasha Denona Mini Nude ($27). An older favorite in my collection. Ranking makeup can be kind of tricky, so I left the higher spots for newer products, but this one is still great. My palette has seen better days, and is on her farewell tour. I love this thing; it even has pan! This palette is great for travel and made me fall in love with the Natasha Denona formula.

Top 2 Eyeshadows

#2 Natasha Denona Mini Bronze ($27). I was very excited of this release, as I love the Natasha Denona Mini palettes. I do wish there was another shimmer included in here. I think I would have been even more in love with this, if it had released in the fall. This is the same fantastic formula I have come to expect from the brand. I would definitely recommend if this color story speaks to you.

#1 ColourPop Clay It Cool ($16). Though I do prefer the Natasha Denona formula over ColourPop, this one is in first place for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it’s $10 cheaper for twice as many eyeshadows. I think the more reddish clay tones plus some pinks is a little more “summery” to me than the orangey bronze vibes of the Mini Bronze. I love the inclusion of a cream eyeshadow in these ColourPop palettes. I did a cut crease look, using the cream shadow instead of concealer. This has more variety and I’m really loving it.
