Ranking Palettes I Used in June

One of my favorites to post, ranking all the eyeshadows I used in the month of June. We had some big fails, and unexpected favorites that month. I’m ranking not only the new releases I’ve tried, but the eyeshadows I already have in my collection that need more love. For all 9 palettes, and where they ranked, you can watch my YouTube video linked below.

#9 If you are a Pat McGrath stan, just click off right now. The worst palette I used in June was the Pat McGrath Midnight Voyage Mini Palette ($29). Not a bad price for six shades from a luxury brand, but this is not for me. I found the mattes to be patchy, the shimmers had fall out, and it gave me an allergic reaction. Allergic reaction aside, as that is very personal to me, I just do not get on with the Pat McGrath eyeshadow formula. I have tried several palettes because I want to like them, but you can find better quality at a lower price point.

#8 From here, I really do like the rest of these palettes which makes it hard to rank them. Next we have the Dose of Colors Golden Hour Palette ($32). I was happy to see some new releases coming from Dose of Colors as they have been flying under the radar for quite awhile. The reason this is ranking lower is because it’s a 5 pan palette, but one of them is a pressed glitter. I do love a brown smokey eye look. This is still a good palette; it didn’t blow me away, or become a new favorite, but it’s good.

#2 Deciding between my top two palettes was really hard, but I settled on the ABH Nouveau Palette ($55) coming in second place. When this palette released, I felt like I was seeing a lot of mixed opinions. I am more of a neutral loving gal, but I also love green eyeshadows. This palette ticks both of those boxes for me. I couldn’t stop reaching in here. I think I used it 5 or more times in a row, which for a beauty reviewer is a lot. I feel that this is a surprisingly versatile palette.

#1 I still have to give the Kaja Bento Bouncy Trios ($26) the number 1 spot. These are just so, so good! I have continued to reach for these over other palettes in my collection this whole year. They are perfect for travel, or quick makeup looks. I brought Peach Madeline on my trip to San Diego in my travel makeup bag.
