Ranking Palettes I Used in March

I’m so excited to be doing another eyeshadow palette ranking post! This series combines two of my favorite things, ranking makeup and eyeshadow. An interesting aspect of this series is that we are going to see some overlap. I am ranking all the eyeshadows I used within the month, it makes sense that I’m circling back through my collection, and using what I love. The beauty community is so saturated with new makeup all of the time, it feels good to be using more of what I already own this year.

For a look at all the eyeshadow products I used in the month of March, and where they ranked, be sure to watch my YouTube video linked below.

Bottom 2 Eyeshadows

At #10, YIKES! I am so scared people are going to be mad at me but … I put the Pat McGrath Divine Rose palette. I like the Pat McGrath brand, and I do like the eyeshadows, don’t get me wrong. But this eyeshadow palette costs $125! At the time, I only purchased this palette because I had a gift card. I just don’t see how this could possibly be that much money, and really struggle to recommend it to others. I’ve also be experiencing fading on my eyes with this palette, which is not typical for me.

I chatted about the Urban Decay Wild Greens palette last month. This is a good palette, but also kind of underwhelming. The shadows perform well; are easy to use. It just really depends on what you are looking for, and for me this isn’t a favorite.

Top 2 Eyeshadows

For number 2, I wanted to share a combination of things. I absolutely loved this certain look I created this month mixing the ColourPop Wild Child palette with two singles from Makeup Geek, Crème Brulee and Peach Smoothie. The brown smokey eye I created left me feeling so confident and beautiful. The Wild Child palette is one that I continually go back to, especially when I’m wanting to get ready quickly. I pulled in the Makeup Geek singles for some lighter transition type shades, and I’m trying to hit pan on Crème Brulee. I am very sad that Makeup Geek is going out of business.

Speaking of eyeshadow palettes that I know I can grab for a beautiful look; another holy grail of mine was my favorite palette of the month. The Natasha Denona Mini Nude palette is one of my very favorites! This palette is perfect to throw into your carry on when traveling. My palette is so beat up, I have a massive pan in the lighter matte shade, and am close to pan on a couple others. For a makeup consumer like me, that is almost unheard of! Natasha’s mini palettes are only $25, and amazing quality. If there is a color story that speaks to you within that line, I definitely recommend you grab it!
