In 2022, I want to be using more of the makeup I already have in my collection, specifically eyeshadow palettes. To help me do this, I have created a new monthly series. Clearly, I am a little behind on getting these up as blog posts, so stay tuned for the subsequent months coming soon. Ranking makeup, especially palettes, is a lot of fun for me. Bottom 2 Eyeshadows
This entire ranking was so difficult, and I cannot believe I’m doing this but … the worst eyeshadow palette I used in January has to be the Pat McGrath Bridgerton collab… I know! While I do like this palette, the shade Love Match (bottom right rosey berry shade) gave me pretty severe eye irritation. For a palette at this price point, and only being able to use 5 shades, I needed to rank this at the bottom.
I decided to include all eye products in this series so we had a bit more to work with. Up next I put the Sigma Eyeshadow Base in the shade Persuade. (Use code SAMANTHA to save.) I have recommended these eyeshadow sticks all the time on my channel. This is only ranking so low because I packed the shade Persuade in my travel makeup bag instead of Bubbly by mistake … seriously!
Top 2 Eyeshadows
Coming in at number 2, is a Smoke Reflect from Auric in the shade Temper. I am a big fan of these duos, and have been since the brand released! I reached for this a ton in January both on vacation in Mexico, but also at home in Las Vegas. They’re easy, yet special.
I had to give the number 1 spot to a holy grail palette. I wore this for New Year’s, and then because I didn’t put it away, I just kept reaching for it again and again throughout the month. Despite being very light handed with my makeup, and having a ton of makeup, my Sultry palette looks very well loved with some dips happening in many shades. It’s not only my favorite ABH palette by far, it’s a favorite in my entire collection. This palette is just the bomb dot com and deserves to be permanent in their line.
