Summer Staples

I am excited to share my top summer staples with you. I did this video in the spring as well, where I shared a wide variety of products. I’m here to do it again, though this time is definitely more beauty heavy.

I am someone who likes, quick, easy makeup looks that can hold up to the Las Vegas heat. I love testing new mascaras, especially because I do not wear lashes super often anymore. I didn’t realize how much I liked the City Beauty Mascara until I was editing a video back in which I was wearing it. I couldn’t help but notice how great my lashes were looking in that video. My bottom lashes looked especially long, and doll-like. I am so impressed that this mascara can hold up to a super hot Vegas pool day. You can save 15% off with my code SAMANTHAM.

Lately, I have been on a wellness journey. For me this has meant reducing stress, and prioritizing self care. A product I’ve been using to relax and have some “me time” with is the City Beauty Line Smoothing Hydro Mask. I love me a good skincare product, and was quite intrigued when I saw this. It helps with skin firmness and fine lines, and hyaluronic acid helps to rehydrate your skin. I use these at least weekly, and keep it on for the duration of my 10-15 minute guided meditation.

The last summer staple from City Beauty is their Pink Nude Plumping Gloss. I am definitely a gloss girl, and love trying out new ones. The tingling plumping sensation dissipates in less than a minute. I like a plumping gloss, but if it’s painful, it’s a no from me. This one from City Beauty does not hurt my lips, and is one of their bestsellers. I like that the plumping effect gives my lips a bit more definition.

I am a big believer in the faux tan. I do not go in tanning beds, I pile on my SPF, you will always find me with a hat on. My favorite self tanner at the moment is from Coco and Eve. I tried their Sunny Honey Medium Tanning Foam. I like applying my self tanner right before bed, sleeping in it, then rinsing it off in the morning. I was left with a really beautiful, natural looking tan. This doesn’t have the typical “tanner” smell which is not the most pleasant, it smells like pina coladas.

If I’m going somewhere like the beach club, I’m wanting to up my SPF game on my body. The Sun Shield Body Glow SPF from Kopari is a fun one. It has SPF 50, and is a beautiful glowy shimmer formula. I feel like a glowing goddess when I wear this. I apply this to strategic areas I want to highlight; the tops of my shoulders, collarbone and chest, center of my legs. I little goes a long way, and it’s perfect to add to your beach bag. I like a lot of Kopari’s body care products and this in no exception.

Let’s hop into a super random product. Do you use a tongue scraper? I did not know this was a thing that I needed, until I was looking into things I can be doing at home to help improve my health. I got mine from Amazon, it came in a pack of two along with a case to store them in. This first time I used this, it was horrifying. Now, if I go a few days without it, I can feel the difference and I cannot wait to scrape my tongue clean again. It’s shocking how much can build up on the back of your tongue, from mucus to bacteria. This doesn’t only help with bad breathe, but is also just good for your general health. I told you this one was random, but definitely a must have for me.

Last product is a fashion item I wanted to share, a pleated skort from Amazon. It’s only pleated in the back, and even has a zippered pocket. This is super comfortable, with a stretchy waistband. I even ordered one in white as well. I feel that this is a versatile piece in my summer wardrobe; it goes with so much in my closet and is great for a variety of events or activities.
