Here’s a shocker: Simon Cowell is engaged. The American Idol judge, 50, is engaged to makeup artist Mezhgan Hussainy after denying the rumor for weeks. Multiple insiders confirmed the engagement to Usmagazine, and Hussainy confirmed the news herself early on Friday. The couple started dating last October around Cowell’s 50th birthday, where she was his date for his birthday party in London. I am just so happy this is finally confirmed after all the denying, even though she was wearing what appears to be an engagement ring and he was calling her The One in interviews. Hello obvious.

American Idol alum Bo Bice and wife Caroline welcomed their third son together, People.com is reporting. Ean Jacob Bice was born on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m., weighing in at 8.5 lbs . Ean joins brothers Caleb James, 17 months, and Aidan Michael, 4. Caroline’s due date was January 31st.

Simon Cowell Leaving American Idol

Simon Cowell is the next judge leaving American Idol. Cowell has announced that he is leaving the hit show after his contract ends in 2010. The British music executive- known for his harsh criticisms- will be moving on to judge and produce an American version of his British show The X Factor which will air on FOX in 2011, according to Usmagazine.com. Cowell said in a statement, “I felt like doing something different. I want to leave Idol this year bigger and better than it’s been before.”

Adam Lambert Dropped from Good Morning America

Well Good Morning America isn’t holding back their opinions on Adam Lambert’s AMA’s performance. The ABC network (which also aired Sunday’s awards show) has cancelled the American Idol runner-up’s performance slated for Wednesday morning. Usmagazine released this statement from an ABC rep, “Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning.” While singing his rendition of “For Your Entertainment,” Lambert, 27, made out with a male keyboardist, grabbed his crotch, flipped off the crowd, and simulated fellatio with a male dancer. The controverisal performance caused over 1,500 complaints streaming in to the ABC network.
Lambert’s rep confirmed that he will instead be performing on The Early Show on CBS Wednesday morning.
