Sandra Bullock Attending Award Show

Sandra Bullock is stepping out. While her crumbling marriage is still fresh, the actress has been confirmed to be in attendance at the MTV Movie Awards on June 6th. People.com has reported that she will not being doing any interviews at the ceremony, but will be accepting her MTV Generation Award. Do you think it is too soon for Sandra?

Sandra Bullock Files For Divorce, Adopts Son

Sandra Bullock has officially filed for a divorce, ending her five year marriage to Jesse James. People.com exclusively broke the relationship news, and also reported the actress has adopted a 3 ½ year old son, Louis.
Louis Bardo Bullock was born in New Orleans, and Bullock and James began the adoption process four years ago. They brought Louis home in January, but had decided to keep their baby news a secret until after the Oscars- until Jesse James’ affair allegations were reported. Bullock has confirmed to People.com that she is finishing up the adoption paperwork as a single parent.
Jesse James has released a statement through People.com on Sandra’s decision to file the divorce. “My whole life has been full of hard decisions.”

“The decision to let my wife end our marriage, and continue the adoption of Louis on her own, has been the hardest. The love I have for Louis cannot be put to words. Not having him around to love and to hold has left a huge hole in my heart.

“Sandy is the love of my life, but considering the pain and devastation I have caused her, it would be selfish to not let her go. Right now it is time for me to beat this addiction that has taken two of the things I love the most in life.

“I have always taken great pride in proving people wrong. That time has come once again to show that I am not what everyone says I am. I know in my heart that I can be the best father possible to my four children, and the mate Sandy deserves, and realize that this is an incredible mountain to climb. But I believe that the steps I have taken in the last 30 days are the foundation for making this happen. The lifelong commitment I am making is what being a real husband and father is all about.

“I ask that you please do not judge Sandy for the things I have done. She has done no wrong. She played no part in any of this. She has been an amazing wife, mother, and best friend, for the over 6 years we have been together.”

Jesse James Releases Statement on Affair Allegations

So far, I haven’t posted anything on the Jesse James/Sandra Bullock infidelity rumors, because there wasn’t anything clear to report in my eyes. Today though, Jesse James managed to confuse me even more with this statement he released to People.com:
“The vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue and unfounded. Beyond that, I will not dignify these private matters with any further public comment. There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me. It’s because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way. This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them. I am truly very sorry for the grief I have caused them. I hope one day they can find it in their hearts to forgive me.”
So I am still wondering: was he unfaithful? He is saying that the allegations are untrue, but he is taking the blame for poor judgment? I sure want to know what the hell happened, because Sandra and Jesse were quickly becoming one of my favorite Hollywood couples.

2010 SAG Awards Wrap Up

The Screen Actors Guild Awards aired last night, and the award show was filled with daring fashions, tearful acceptance speeches, and the right amount of comedy. Betty White was honored with the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award and Sandra Bullock was the presenter, quipping, “Yes, I know that a lot of people really find Betty White inspiring. I mean, she’s been working in an industry for more than six decades in a business that doesn’t exactly value getting older. Me, I find Betty White annoying. Sorry, it’s true. Betty, you make me feel bad about myself. You make me feel like the slacker.” Betty gave it right back to Sandra when she started her speech after her standing ovation. “She is such a wonderful one,” she said, looking at Bullock. “Isn’t it heartening to see how far a girl as plain as she is can go?”
Other memorable acceptance speech moments were: Sandra Bullock calling her husband Jesse James “really hot,” Michael C. Hall thanking his wife Jessica for “wearing that dress,” and Drew Barrymore trying to give her thanks while being “really sick and nervous.”
