I saw my friend Angelica Nyqvist do a video where she talked about her Top 3 Palettes in Every Category, and I thought it was such a great idea! In this blog post, I will share just one of my three choices in each of my categories. For all three of my picks, head over to my YouTube video.
Neutral Palettes
I am a neutral loving gal. I have talked so highly of the Urban Decay Naked Reloaded palette; it really has been a favorite since it launched. I used to travel with this palette quite often. The shades Reputation and Burn towards the middle are some of my absolute favorites. It can take you from simple to dramatic eye looks. This is a great choice.
Colorful Palettes
The Natasha Denona Love palette is such a favorite of mine. I ranked it as my top palette for the year of 2020. For a neutral lover like myself, this red, pink, purple palette really is quite colorful and outside of my norm. The Natasha Denona eyeshadow formula is one of my top favorites, and her palettes appear quite often in my Top 3 picks.
Monochromatic Palettes
A 9 pan monochromatic palette from ColourPop that I really enjoy is the Main Squeeze. These red tones are more unique to my collection, and this palette has survived a lot of declutters whereas many of the other monochromatic 9 pans have left my collection over the years. Red eyeshadows can be a bit more intimidating for me, but they do make my green eyes pop so I’m happy to keep this one around!
Mini Palettes
Over the last few years, I find myself more drawn to the mini, or smaller palettes being released. The Natasha Denona Mini Nude was the first palette from the brand that I truly fell in love with. It is one of my most used palettes in my entire collection – I’ve even hit pan in this one! I have sense gone on to purchase so many more of these mini palettes from Natasha Denona.
Affordable Palettes
I really enjoy elf’s eyeshadow formula. I own quite a few of their mini bite sized palettes, but chose the Cream and Sugar one. It’s a pretty close dupe to the Natasha Denona Mini Nude I just mentioned in terms of color choice, which is probably why I like it so much.
Highend Palettes
The Cor de Rosa from Sigma is just so beautiful. The rosy pink tones call to me so often. I am a big fan of Sigma’s eyeshadow formula as well and love that they are not too expensive compared to my other faves.
