Review:
Hmmm. From the synopsis, I thought this book was going to be a major hit for me. I started reading with enthusiasm, but quickly found myself not engaging with the storyline. The beginning was a little confusing to me, with Marjorie’s job, the romance and the back and forth between her high school life and who she currently is today. I couldn’t quite put all the puzzle pieces together and it made me frustrated. I did try to keep reading because I am simply not one to DNF, and it was around the halfway point that I finally found the interest needed to be engaged. I found it unfortunate I wasn’t hooked in the beginning because the ending was quite interesting to read about, but overall this book was just so-so for me.
