I have tried a lot of makeup so far this year. That sounded like a confession. Today I’m sharing the best makeup products with you. I have already done a post on the worst makeup I’ve tried as well as the best and worst eyeshadow palettes. Between these three posts, I am hoping to help you make some good makeup purchasing decisions. While this post contains a few great products, watch my YouTube video below for even more.
One of the best foundations I have tried this year is the Nars Light Reflecting Foundation ($49). I use the shade Sante Fe. My foundation preference is a Light to Medium coverage with a natural finish. It’s important to know someone’s preferences while getting their review so you have a better understanding on if the product would work for you as well. This Nars foundation gives my skin a hint of radiance without looking too glowy or oily and it wears well throughout the day.
Bronzer is one of my favorite makeup categories. If you’re interested in a full bronzer collection ranking, I recently did a video on that. But one of the best new bronzers I’ve tried is the Sigma Matte Bronzer in Medium ($35). All of the single cheek products Sigma released this year are fantastic, but if I had to choose just one it’d be this bronzer. I am a Sigma affiliate, you can use my code SAMANTHA to save. I really like the Sigma bronzer because it is very smooth and blend-able. It’s one of those bronzers that I can continue to build up without it looking like too much, giving me a natural bronzed look.
Is anyone surprised that the Dior Rosy Glow Blush ($39) is a favorite? This is my most longwearing blush; it does not move, it does not come off. This looks very bright and intimidating in the pan, but it’s much more flattering and versatile than I thought it would be. I know it’s a pricey item, but I do feel that it’s worth it.
I almost forgot to mention a favorite concealer. The LYS Triple Fix Brightening Concealer ($18) was recommended to me by you guys. It is beautiful and I wear this all the time! This concealer is on the full coverage side, which is what I like. It’s comfortable on my under eyes and doesn’t break up.
Lastly, let’s chat about a lip product. The new Rare Beauty Kind Words Matte Lipsticks ($20) are incredible. I cannot seem to put them down. I love the lip liners in this line as well, and that they coordinate so well together. I even love the shade names; I’ve been using Wise, Humble, and Worthy.
