My Review

Entertaining, suspenseful and with two fascinating women at the helm of this novel, The Intern was one that was hard to put down. We follow Harvard law student Madison who applies to intern with Judge Kathryn Conroy – but her intentions are far from academic. Madison’s brother has just been arrested and she is determined to clear his name, and with Kathryn the judge on his case, Madison seizes the opportunity. What she doesn’t realize is how cloudy Kathryn’s own line of work is – or the fact she could possibly be a criminal herself more than mentor. The two women try to out-smart the other with high stakes involved, including both their lives. I had no idea how this would end but was satisfied with the shocking conclusion. Great character-driven thriller novel that will keep you hooked.
