Madonna Not Meeting Boyfriend’s Mom

Hold the awkward meeting of the parents. Madonna has told the New York Post that despite published reports, she is not meeting the mother of current boyfriend Jesus. Usmagazine reports the singer, 51, is going “strictly for fundraising and humanitarian purposes.” She will also be attending a meeting with the governor of Rio de Janeiro and sponsorship of a documentary about impoverished local children. Madonna has been linked with the 23 year old Jesus, model and aspiring DJ, since February of 2009.

Lindsay Lohan Was Possibly Dating Heath Ledger Before His Death

Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael Lohan, has released another recorded phone conversation, this time speaking with ex-wife Dina. And this particular call releases a secret relationship between Lindsay and the late Heath Ledger. Usmagazine reports that Dina can be heard saying that her daughter, “was dating Heath when he died . . . I don’t know if you know that, but I know cause I would drop her off and they were friends, very, very close.” Ledger died on January 22, 2008 from an accidental overdose. The actor was just 28.
Dina Lohan is understandably upset in the tape, seeing similarities between Lindsay and Ledger. She says, “When she’s drunk or takes an Adderall with it she will do something like Heath Ledger did in a second without thinking.” Lindsay, 23, has taken to her Twitter page about her father’s actions, calling him “disgusting.”

The Second Assistant by Clare Naylor & Mimi Hare

The Second Assistant is truly a tale from the bottom of the Hollywood ladder. Elizabeth Miller decided to give up her comfortable job as a Washington senator’s aide to get her shot in the glamorous Hollywood elite. She joins on to The Agency, a powerful representation company, but quickly finds herself the odd one out. Her hair is not highlighted, her clothes are not designer, her car is a clunker, and readers seriously doubt that Lizzie can pull it off in LA. Her naïve sense gets her in to trouble on more than one occasion- falling for the wrong guys, getting roofied at dinner, thinking someone is a friend when they are really out to sabotage her every move- but readers will cheer for Lizzie as we watch her grow up in between the pages. Lizzie slowly gains friends and a sense of desire- she wants to produce and has an excellent opportunity land on her lap. But can she pull it off when she once again is hung out to dry by a ‘friend’ when a better opportunity comes along?

Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri…Together Again?

Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri have apparently landed on ‘on’ in their on again-off again relationship. People.com reported that the pair, who had apparently broke things off around the time of Michael Jackson’s death, “never really broke up. Jermaine wanted to give her some space when Michael died.” Of the rumors that two are also getting married- well Dupri wouldn’t confirm or deny that talk. “They’ve been saying that for years and you don’t see a ring on my finger,” he told People Friday at a Prive Las Vegas party to launch his Nu Pop Movement watch line.

Jennifer Lopez Suing Ex-Husband

Jennifer Lopez is suing ex-husband, Ojani Noa for $10 million. Usmagazine reports that Noa is trying to produce a film titled How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The JLo and Ojani Noa Story. The film reportedly includes home videos of the couple’s time together.
Lopez,40, is suing Noa and also Ed Meyer in trying to produce and distribute the film. The singer is claiming this film would go against an agreement that was settled upon when the couple divorced. (They were married in 1997 and divorced less than a year later. Lopez in now married to singer Marc Anthony.) Ed Meyer is claiming to have footage that shows Lopez in “revealing lack of clothing and in sexual situations, especially in the hotel room footage from [their] honeymoon.”

Travolta Family Gives First Interview

John Travolta and Kelly Preston are speaking out for the first time since the death of 16 year old son, Jett. Travolta, 45, gave a round table interview with the cast of Old Dogs (also starring Preston and 9 year old daughter Ella) per USA Today, and in it says, “We’ve been working very hard every day as a family to heal. We have our own way of doing it, and it has been helping.” Usmagazine quotes Preston, 47, as saying the “outpouring of love from, really, worldwide has been extraordinary. It’s been our friends, our family, our church. We partake in spiritual counseling pretty much daily.” Jett passed away in January from a seizure.
Travolta and family made the decision to come out in the public to support Ella’s role in the upcoming film. This will be the 9 year olds film debut. Travolta said, “We decided it was OK to come out and promote, to introduce her to the world and to give her a beautiful future in film.” Both Travolta and Preston declined to talk about the extortion case involving a former Bahamian senator and a paramedic who are accused of demanding $25 million from the family with information about Jett’s death. A mistrial was declared in October and a retrial was ordered.

Fans of Ashlee Simpson-Wentz need not fear. Reports are surfing that the Melrose Place actress has found a new job- joining the cast of Chicago on Broadway. People.com is reporting that Simpson-Wentz, 25, has signed on to play Roxie Hart in the production, starting in December and running for six weeks. This would mark the actresses Broadway debut.

No Love for Britney Down Under

Would you be upset if you paid $148 to watch Brittney Spears lip synch on stage? Australia certainly is. There has been much backlash after Spears performed on Friday, lip synching to quite a few numbers in her “Circus” tour. Hundreds of fans reportedly stormed out of the concert in the Burswood Dome in the Western Australia city of Perth, citing disappointment by the lackluster performance and lip synched songs. One fan said, “It was so impersonal. She did not interact with her audience. There were no big TV screens projecting the action, so if you didn’t know Britney, you might have even doubted it was her.” People.com reports that not all fans were that upset. Many of the satisfied concert goers took her website and praised her show and performance. Spears is next scheduled to perform in Melbourne on November 11th.

No More Aerosmith?

Has Steven Tyler quit Aerosmith? Guitarist Joe Perry seems to think so. Perry, 59, gave this quote to the Daily Sun, “Steven quit as far as I can tell. I don’t know any more than you do about it. I don’t know for how long, indefinitely or whatever. Other than that, I don’t know.” And People.com is reporting that the relationships between Tyler, Perry, and the rest of the band have been ‘strained’ since cancelling a portion of their latest tours after Tyler hurt himself on stage in Abu Dhabi. Tyler, 61, released this statement to Classic Rock magazine about what is next for him, “-definitely going to be something Steven Tyler, working on the brand of myself – Brand Tyler.”
